If Buffet (I mean Jimmy) was a conservative, he’d make a pretty decent song out of your tagline...

Never Romney, so don't lie about me, caww.

Not a lie at all...if you check the box FOR Romney your vote will be counted as 'For' Romney....therefore you ARE 'supporting' Romney....

When we vote for a candidate, we are voting not just for a person, but for that person’s platform....Ballots do not contain room for voters to indicate why thy have chosen a particular candidate. ..it therefore will always be "For" the candidate and all which he stands for. That is how your vote will be counted.... regardless of how you might think it should show otherwise.

Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the 'consent of the governed.....voting FOR Romney is 'your consent' to be governed by him and his platform.

you don’t know that for a fact.

Romney's record pretty much confirms what I wrote to be a fact.

You don't think Romneycare being a model for ObamaCare was any coincidence do you?

“Your family (the country) is going to be shot in front of you by a squad of riflemen. Your choice is will it be a squad of enemy riflemen or a squad of your own riflemen. If you pick your own you get to be part of the squad.”

Oh, please, let me ;^)

I figure the person giving me this insane choice is the officer in charge, and he meets Satan without a trachea, and I have an interesting battlefield souvenir for St. Peter. While the firing squad is filling me full of holes, my family revolts from their Rino Coma, takes out the firing squad, and seizes their liberty and constitution with their own hands, because it’s inalienably theirs, and they know any law, institution, or strong man that denies that inheritance can be pulled out by the roots like any other parasite, by free men and women.

The field that lies fallow awaits a Conservative Spring.

Did I answer good?

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.” —Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:429

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.” —Thomas Jefferson: Rights of British America, 1774. (*) ME 1:193, Papers 1:125

“When patience has begotten false estimates of its motives, when wrongs are pressed because it is believed they will be borne, resistance becomes morality.” —Thomas Jefferson to M. deStael, 1807. ME 11:282

“Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” —Thomas Jefferson: his motto.

“If ever there was a holy war, it was that which saved our liberties and gave us independence.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Wayles Eppes, 1813. ME 13:430

“The oppressed should rebel, and they will continue to rebel and raise disturbance until their civil rights are fully restored to them and all partial distinctions, exclusions and incapacitations are removed.” —Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Religion, 1776. Papers 1:548

“As revolutionary instruments (when nothing but revolution will cure the evils of the State) [secret societies] are necessary and indispensable, and the right to use them is inalienable by the people.” —Thomas Jefferson to William Duane, 1803. FE 8:256

I am going to vote for a CONSERVATIVE and It ain’t Romney.

Yep..me as well.

This Primary was a last stand...we lost. Reasons run the gambit but loss it was, and IMO the last opportunity to stand against this tide.

Fools believing that 'Romney is a choice' for them have not understood the game which brought him to the forefront...and why the ABO push is on as it is.

My gosh Romney people called me and it wasn't at all about his platform....but an entirely hyped up fear of Obama if you don't vote for Romney.

Interesting is neither of them can run on their record....they're too much alike....so they both have to play the game as we see them playing it now....it's all about 'emotional impact' now, and with a public ripe to 'feel'....and currently it's about making people fearful....a very strong and powerful emotion which can and does move people away from careful reasoning.

Romney's being portrayed as the (Humble) Savior from Obama....he doesn't have to work at either...it's already been sold to the public. Now he'll flip and state he's not that with all kinds of rhetoric fully scripted to further his deception.

Obama will be protrayed as the comforter, convincing the people they have nothing to fear.

What insanity that this will and is working on a people who are fast loosing the ability for critical thinking and relying exclusively on what emotional buttons are pushed from one minute to the next.....eventually giving in because one cannot sustain that emotional roller-coaster indefinitely...which ever can convince them they can relieve that inner turmoil will get their vote....for many of those who will be voting.

I'm saying I will vote for Romney rather than promote four more years of a Communist.

You can twist and distort all you want, but promoting Obama and claiming it's because you're a conservative, doesn't wash.

I'll tell you what I'm going to do, even though you don't really deserve a rational response......I'm going to SUPPORT Josh Mandel in the Ohio Senatorial election to get rid of Communist Sherrod Brown, and I'm going to vote for Romney in order to end the Communist reign of the Obama administration.

If you have problems with that, it's your problem, not mine.

My soul belongs to Jesus Christ and Him alone, and I'm not selling it to anyone to end the terror of the Obama administration.

Dittos to what all of you have said.

Jeff doesn’t deserve this sort of smearing from lesser freepers...some of whom I know to post only to stir crap up and appear to shame the forum.

All this teeth gnashing will be for naught same as it was when folks here fought bitterly in the run up to Sarah’s non run.

It was as bad as Schiavo...just lesser numbers.

Now here we are again...self destructing for nothing.

Romney will likely be the nominee and probably endorsed by everyone even though almost all of us loathe his moderate to liberal positions in the past.

it was a juggernaut we did not stop

conservatives can sit it out or hold their nose

it’s a personal decision not worthy of the vitriol here

what is next?

when Palin endorse Romney at some point will she be a whore as well....that is crazy

just as crazy as calling Bachmann that

political forums from here to LP to the Klowns to WA to that new Blue joint....when I lurk about watching folks

it’s dispiriting how so many forum posters are just nasty people...likely with little or no life

you weed it all out and learn who here matters

and the big secret is that is what keeps us here and what keeps anti freepers at their sites looking in talking about us

strange isn’t it?

human nature....it’s often ugly and the internet sure gets to highlight that..this is all going to be hard to unfold

I wish Palin had tried...at least we could have known whether we had it or not rather than fielding all these substitutes against GOPE, Fox, most talk radio and WSJ and Wash Times and the big money

You and I have had our differences in the past, although we’ve agreed on much, much more. I am with you here. If we don’t stop obam it will be over. That’s not hyperbole or melodrama it’s just what it is. The guy hates this country and what it stands for. He hates our history, our heritage, our way of life. What other presidential candidate ever had the unmitigated gall as to refer to our Constitution and a “Charter of Negative Rights’ and an unneeded fetter on the government? Just to utter those sentiments is proof positive that the marxist assclown doesn’t have a clue as to what a great blessing it is to be an American.

I would not prefer either.

Nor would I, my FRiend. But if it comes to a choice between living in Sweden for four years and being under continued attack by a hardcore Communist whose goal is to create chaos and destroy this country, I'll take Sweden.

Unfortunately, for now, it's the only choice we have, barring the miraculous (which I'm not doing). We have to work together to fix this, or the country is gone.

But if we don't stop Obama in November, it's very unlikely we will ever have that chance.

Well that's not going to happen nationwide...unless the media chooses to make a mockery out of him.

The GOP certainly managed to take out every candidate that got in their way of Kinging Romney. Regardless of the vast somes of money to do otherwise. Should this guy even begin to rise they'll knock him out "fast and furious"

Still it would be great if conservatives could rally behind a specific candidate....it would show as a Presidential vote, but only if they are registered in the voters state I understand.

One of the things I like best about the majority of conservatives, is that we can have our differences and still be friends.

However we may have disagreed in the past (not often, methinks!), I AGREE with every word you've said, and think that anyone who even begins to grasp the danger that Barack Obama poses, and the damage he's already caused, agrees with us.

Obama hates America. He's actively trying to destroy it as quickly as possible.

And I'm not going to assist him in getting it done.

The truth is if you check the Romney box you are then supporting Romney no matter how you might otherwise determine that vote is justified in your mind. The parties will see it as “FOR” Romney and it will be counted as such....and it’s that truth people are struggling with.

Indeed.

Truth is not based on what we feel, but what is. Therein lies the problem. To some, there is nothing absolute. Relativism has taken its toll even among conservatives. I can mislead as long as it helps me 'win' the argument.

There's no way to debate a relativist.

Fail. True conservatives would never sell their political souls and vote for a lying, socialist, gun grabbing, homosexualist, pro-abortion RINO.

True conservatives stand for principles over party and stand their ground.

That makes US true conservatives, and you...well...not.

I sand by JR - FUMR! Or do you think that JR isn’ a ‘true conservative’ either?

Typical how a member of the cult of not voting for Romney responds. I didn't define anyone as not a true conservative, what I said was MOST TRUE CONSERVATIVES will be voting for Romney. I did not say all. I know that most of you in this cult on FR are conservative, but a lot of you also get the mistaken idea that your views are what defines a true conservative.

And they are not, in fact you are a vocal but small group who in the long run will be irrelevant.

“Heads up to Antiw1, Jeff is a ‘high priest after the order of Melchizedek’, IOW he proudly claims a priesthood only held by Christ.”

AH-ha. Well, don’t despise the slave, only his chains.

BTW, Jesus wasn’t the only priest of the order of Melchizedek...Melchizedek was also of the order of Melchizedek...although some folks believe it was “Jesus in disguise”...whatever. I’m a n00b for Jesus too, I receive the Spirit as Spirit chooses without running either of Us past a committee. Like the verse says, “Suffer the little n00bs to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of God.”

14 When Abram heard that [his nephew] had been captured, he armed (led forth) the 318 trained servants born in his own house and pursued the enemy as far as Dan.
15 He divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and attacked and routed them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus.
16 And he brought back all the goods and also brought back his kinsman Lot and his possessions, the women also and the people.
17 After his [Abram’s] return from the defeat and slaying of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh, that is, the King’s Valley. 18 Melchizedek king of Salem [later called Jerusalem] brought out bread and wine [for their nourishment]; he was the priest of God Most High,
19 And he blessed him and said, Blessed (favored with blessings, made blissful, joyful) be Abram by God Most High, Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth,
20 And blessed, praised, and glorified be God Most High, Who has given your foes into your hand! And [Abram] gave him a tenth of all [he had taken].
21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, Give me the persons and keep the goods for yourself.
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand and sworn to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth,
23 That I would not take a thread or a shoelace or anything that is yours, lest you should say, I have made Abram rich.
24 [Take all] except only what my young men have eaten and the share of the men [allies] who went with me—Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

No...I think America can weather any storm based upon the strength of the people. You said if Obama is re-elected America is “ Over”.

I agree that Obama is a turd, but to run around screaming America is “Over” unless we vote for the ohioWfan endorsed gun grabbing socialist is Chicken Little melodrama.

I think this is an important election, so it’s particularly shameful that the GOP and yourself has chosen a candidate whose positions are to the left of Hillary Clinton. I just don’t believe we are any better off with your socialist clown vs. their socialist clown. As a matter of fact I think Romney will do more damage to the conservative movement than Obama can do to the country.

If gun control, tyrannical government mandates, and socialized healthcare are your thing...Mittens is a good candidate for you.

It's not 'melodrama.' It's information. If you don't yet know who Obama is and what his administration is doing to dismantle everything this country stands for, then you'd better start reading and get informed before you vote in November.

Every Conservative, Republican and Independent with a brain is going to get out and vote against Obama and he is going to LOSE.

In spite of people like you. It is I who have more faith in the country than you do, not the other way around.

Very well said and accurate, I hope the part about Obama losing is accurate.

But I am pretty sure your words will fall on deaf ears here to the group that starts topic after topic and has the same old tired BS about not voting for president, or a third party, in this election.

In the long run they will not accomplish anything except to vent, and be in the dustbin of history

If you think Obama is nothing more than a "turd" you haven't been paying any attention at all.

If you think Romney will have an Attorney General like Holder, people like Sunstein, Van Jones as advisors, will use the EPA to terrorize American citizens, will nominate SC Justices like Sotomayor and Kagan, will bypass the Congress, insult publicly the SC, call Tea Party citizens racists and other dirty names, abuse and misuse our troops, bow to our enemies and insult our friends, and a whole host of other destructive, America-hating things, then you need to do your homework.

If you want Americans to have NO rights at all, stick with your Obama is no worse than Romney meme.

You're the one who's going to have to live with the fact that you didn't lift a finger to stop him.

Yes, that too comes into the equation for those willing to be informed about Romney's position within the LDS and the powers that be behind him in their leadership...both here and Internationally.

Because Politicians don't want a candidates religious affiliation discussed, except in generalities, few understand the breadth and width of this organizations power or their political agenda.....and that by hiding behind the cover of a so called religion Romney will be exempt from others recognizing the 'oaths' to that group, which to Romney, as well as the leadership of LDS, does supersede any oath of office he takes as President....although of course he would deny this....as will it's membership.

However, aside from his religious affiliation...anybody just looking at the size and leadership of his organization Internationally,as well statewide investments should be enough for people to see this isn't about his Presidency....Romney's appointment does have huge Global reach and they will indeed do just that.

Since the organization hides it's wealth and investments behind a veil of secrecy it will be nothing to use them to funnel and wash all kinds of International Financial transactions....so he has International support as well for all the Elites on the World Stage.

Most won't investigate this organization because it does deceive and uses deception throughout. Oddly enough the very teachings of the organizations has flip flopped so many times Romney simply does what he's accustomed to doing all along within that organization and it's dealings with the "outside" world it operates around.

In the long run they will not accomplish anything except to vent, and be in the dustbin of history

My prayer is that these 'venters' are such an insignificant portion of the country that they don't indeed stand in the way of an Obama loss in November.

Because if they get their way, this country may never recover, ever. EVER.

Thanks, wardaddy, great wisdom and truth in what you have said.

I have said my piece here on this thread. Others can read and judge for themselves.

It is sad we have a mentality that has infected FR where some are making decisions, and deriding those who do not make the same decision based on emotion, anger, vitriol...and in some cases out and out bigotry IMHO.

I understand and respect their decision given this sad state of affairs...I just do not agree with it though we are each conservative in our thinking.

But arguing against such rigid emotion, anger, etc. will very seldom win over those very people, but it may provide good pragmatic and down to earth information for the many who lurk and have decisions of their own to make.

I expect I will be attacked and wrung out for this post to you...so be it. Just punctuates what I just had to say.

God’s speed to you my FRiend, and BZ.

I believe they are. They seem like they are a lot of people, but a couple of things.

First many of the same folks post the same drivel over and over again reenforcing one another that they are some how right. But the are not.

Second they drive away or ban people here who don't agree with their small minded approach and those will become a very big fish in what is becoming a very little pond.

Therefore become irrelevant. Don't be surprised if you and I don't get banned. No independent thought allowed here any more.

“Americans to have NO rights at all....”

Ha ha...you are proving my melodrama point. It’s pretty sad that you actually believe that Americans would lay down and take that.

Ha ha....is he going to take away my birthday too? Is Romney going to give a pony to every kid? Ha ha.

Look Obama is turd, and so is your favorite socialist. I have faith in the resilience of America. If Zero wins, the conservative movement will get even stronger and then we have a chance. Within your socialist candidate wins, it’s Romneycare for everyone again in 2016.

Keep pimping your socialist buddy and spewing his talking points. They are so poorly conceived that they are comical to read. Ha ha.

You vote for your socialist, and I’ll vote for a conservative.

Ha ha..

Romney is going to be the Republican nominee.

- - - -
The convention hasn’t happened yet and Romney does not yet have the full number of required votes.

I don’t expect Romney to win even if he is the nominee. The Media will slaughter him which is exactly why the Dems want Romney to be the nominee. He can’t run on his record, is a compulsive liar and his church doctrine is a HUGE liability (like vegetables having spirits and can be redeemed).

You do not respect anyone with whom you disagree. You are one of the “agree with me and think just like me or you are misinformed, disinformed, ill informed and a moron” people. It is impossible to have a civilized debate or conversation with someone with an ego on steroids. I have been married to democrat for almost 46 years. Never have we had an argument about politics. Never has he been disrespectful to me. We simply cancel out each other’s votes, go to the river and eat Mexican food. Except last year. We both voted McCain. This year, he will vote Obama. I will vote for my cat, Murray. But I wont tell him how to vote, nor will I be disrespectful to him. Neither of us are morons.

Right now, it is all I can do. There needs to be a protest. The kingmakers know that many will just fall in line and do what they are told like good little lemmings. It is time to show them that there are still conservatives in this country.

Yep....the Conservative voice needs to rise again no doubt, but I fear their are fewer of us then supposed.....even on these threads we see posters referring to conservatives..."going into the dustbin of History"..or some such remarks. They've already moved left and lost sight of who they are.

As another poster wrote..."Democrat progressives and Mormons both have an interest in diluting conservative Judeo Christianity’s influence in America and both have "triumphalist goals!"..... (mdmathis6)

You are certainly free to bypass any response I may make conserning your posts. But I will defend conservativism...and call the ABO vote for just what it is...which is a vote ‘for’ Romney and his platform...and will be counted as such.

My goal is to see both of them defeated.

The Ross Perot tactic? Been there done that in 1992, we know how that ends and Goode or whoever the next "Great White Conservative Hope" is won't get within an order of magnitude of Perot's support.

Romney is undesirable but he's no Obama. At this point, he's rationally the only candidate standing between America and four more years of Obama-Biden. He's also malleable, like Clinton. Clinton was pulled Right by the Newt-led "Republican Revolution" whereas Obama's a rigid ideologue.

Because Politicians don’t want a candidates religious affiliation discussed, except in generalities, few understand the breadth and width of this organizations power or their political agenda.....

- - - —
And even fewer realize that LDS inc already does things like send an official delegation of 14 US Congressmen and Senators (all LDS) to Switzerland on orders of the LDS prophet in order to try to get an exemption ONLY for the LDS church on their new missionary policy. The Catholic church doesn’t do that, not other church does.

And they think the Mormon prophet won’t insist Romney do what he wants?!

And even if Mitt renounced Mormonism and claimed to be Evangelical, first I wouldn’t trust him on it and second I still wouldn’t vote for him, he would have to prove he had really changed - long term and that won’t happen.

Nice recap on Bachmann’s decision to run. Some of us remembered and some of us plan to do what we can to help her retire.
