Unmasked: Meet The FBI's Bridge Bomb Plot Snitch
The Smoking Gun ^ | May 2, 2012

The paid informant who helped orchestrate the FBI sting that resulted in the arrest of five anarchists for allegedly plotting to blow up an Ohio bridge is a convicted felon who was arrested on bad check and theft charges in the midst of his cooperation with federal investigators, The Smoking Gun has learned.

Shaquille Azir, 39, was named in a pair of felony indictments filed in January in Cuyahoga County, according to court records. Azir, who TSG has identified as the informant in the federal bombing case, is accused in the indictments of passing bad checks on July 25, 2011 and December 22, 2011.

Azir, pictured in the mug shot at right, “has been working as a source for the FBI since July 20, 2011,” according to the U.S. District Court complaint filed yesterday against the alleged bomb plotters. Wearing a body recorder, Azir captured the five self-styled anarchists plotting to use C-4 explosive to take down a Cleveland-area bridge.

Why does the FBI always have to coerce these people to do things.

Had the conspirators been right-wingers instead of OWS anarchists, the article would have praised the patriotic cooperation of Azir and downplayed his criminal record.

As long as there are “sources” willing to work their own sentences down, there will never be a shortage of indictments of groups.

Plus you think that Azir had any qualms about giving up these crazy white boys?

Democrats (anarchists) only associate with other criminals, so you bate the hook with what it takes to catch them.

I don’t care, I’m still going to be dropping references to the “Occupy terrorists” every chance I get. I just like the sound of it.

I could care less how the media plays this; I am more concerned with what the government continues to do to the citizens. This is like the Randy Weaver episode, but the conspirators do seem to be more willing than Weaver was.

Having the informant do a lot of the planning is close to entrapment. If these people are so bad why does this seem like the Hutaree case?

Coerce?

The morons dangled themselves out there like fed bait and willingly did things they believed would kill people at random.

Compare them to the Hutaree who just wanted to be left alone and never bought fake explosives or illegal weapons. The most the feds got out of them was a bull session in the woods which the judge ruled to be no crime.

Not true, two of the Hutaree are still up on weapon charges. They also said that they wanted to do things, kill cops etc. With everything that was reported on the Hutaree originally it did not look good for them, but when it got to court then it was a different story. It could end up being the same here.

The Actions of our government lately are not what I would call responsible. My belief in the workings of the government at all levels is dropping due to these types of actions. Much of what is transpiring is looking more and more like a war against us citizens and not true protective actions by the government.

This is not something that has happened in only the last couple of years this goes back decades.
