After not seeing her son in 16 years a northern California woman is accused of tracking him down over the social networking site and having sex with him.
In early March, Police in Napa, California served a search warrant on a local hotel where they found the 32-year-old Mistie Atkinson and her now 16-year-old son according to the New York Daily News. Atkinson a resident of Lake County, is charged with incest, oral copulation with a minor, contact with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful material to the 16-year-old. According to the Napa Valley Register the police filed paperwork with the court alleging that videos retrieved from the cellphone of Atkinson's son apparently shows her performing oral sex on him, the videos are dated February 3rd and 4th. Mistie Atkinson has plead not guilty.
According to the Register the police state that both Mistie and her unnamed son are aware that they are mother and son. Atkinson is also accused of sending nude pictures of herself to her son's cell phone in late December of 2011, as well as sexually explicit text messages. Court records further allege the two discussed running away together. The Daily News reported that Atkinson has a prior arrest for domestic battery just one month before sending the alleged nude pictures of herself. The arrest follows other domestic violence calls at the Nice residence Atkinson shares with her boyfriend. Mistie Atkinson is due back in court on May 10th, the Register has reported that her son's father (who has full custody) has obtained a restraining order. She is currently housed at the Napa County Jail in default of $200,000 bail.
Unfortunately, thanks to the perverse nature of Hollyweird and liberals in this country, 16 is no longer a “kid” in today’s society.

Bingo! My thoughts exactly that drugs are involved and not just a little mental instability. Very difficult to believe something like that could happen. But based on the base comments of some posters, I guess I can believe it.
“Mistie”? Sometimes instability begins with a name.
I think it's more a case of mom trying to hurt dad by hurting their son. Seems she wanted to get caught - that was her point.
Her son is nothing more than a tool to her, a weapon to use and discard, someone to hate and harm so she doesn't have to face herself.
She's a monster.

I never said they “happened to meet”. Also, 16 is adulthood, as far as the imprinting I am talking about. That is something that happens in the early years of childhood. By 16, it’s far too late for it to take effect and counteract the effects of GSA.
It is not helped by the fact that any feelings of warmth and connection now days are assumed to be sexual. You mix the current social conditioning with the confused emotion of meeting a birth parent for the first time and the attraction we feel naturally toward someone who "looks like me" and the combination can be explosive.
Sadly in some cases the birth parent who is suppose to be the adult in the situation is a rotten human being and will take advantage of the child's feelings.
