Driver, others flee scene of morning crash in York Township [illegals, of course]

YORK TOWNSHIP— The driver of a Strathmeyer Forests Inc., van and possibly others riding in the van that struck a car at the intersection of Cape Horn Road and Starlight Drive this morning and fled the scene on foot, according to responders. It happened just before 8am. The female driver of the car was taken to York Hospital after being extricated from her vehicle.

UPDATE: York Area Regional Police issued a release that a hit and run accident occurred on Cape Horn Road at Starlight Drive and 6 Hispanic males ran west from scene. Two have been apprehended, and police confirm that the two are illegal immigrants. Police are urging anyone with information to call 911. They say there is no threat to the community. They are looking for the driver of the van.

The driver of the passenger car, 22-year-old Lindsey Green of Red Lion, was taken to York Hospital by ambulance. Her condition was not available as of 3 p.m., a hospital spokeswoman said.

Green had to be extricated from her car by Yoe firefighters, Dunbar said, and underwent surgery at the hospital. (article link)

Funny. I think instead of blaming Strathmeyer’s and their family we should be blaming our media and local police because it was later determined that the person driving the car was actually an American citizen, and the illegals that were deemed illegal because they looked Mexican actually had all of their paperwork to support their ability to be working in the United States.

You just registered this morning to come on here and defend a company cited by several news reports as employing illegals? You do realize that:
1) The driver and all passengers fled the scene. Is that SOP for non-illegal alien Strathmeyer Forest employees?
2) Police confirmed that the 2 who were caught running from the scene were in fact illegal aliens. They were taken to an ICE detention facility.
3) Stratmeyer Forests refused to comment to the local papers, instead making a "press release" via twitter:
Fred Strathmeyer, owner of Strathmeyer Forests, could not be reached for comment Wednesday, but the company issued a press release later in the evening via Twitter:
"We had, and still have, no reason to believe that they are not allowed to work legally in the United States." LINK. That's a little different than the employer stating with certainty that the occupants of their company van are legal, which they should be able to do with confidence if that was the case - wouldn't you agree?

Thanks for the “update” on that story.

I heard about the incident but didn’t read the details on the employer involved.

I suspect there are other employers in York County in similar situations.

People linked to both political parties in York County have done some interesting things over the years with Hispanics in particular to get them registered as R’s or D’s.

Many of those are in this country legally, particularly Puerto Ricans who have been American citizens legally since 1917. As for the others, there may be some question marks there.
