Toronto Sun ^

A Nova Scotia teen who was suspended for wearing a T-shirt with the slogan, "Life is wasted without Jesus," will be allowed to return to school wearing his shirt.

William Swinimer, a Grade 12 student at Forest Height Community School in Chester Bain, N.S., was suspended Monday for repeatedly wearing the shirt to class. That decision was reversed on Friday, according to the school board, after the story made international headlines and provincial politicians weighed in with criticism of the suspension.

Swinimer was suspended after being told the shirt did not follow school policy for non-discriminatory expression.

I bet those lefties on the school board would not have suspended the kid in the first place if he wore a gay rights/rainbow t-shirt.

Seems like it’s a bad idea to kick God out of a school.

There are Toronto public schools that have mass Muslim prayers, girls separated from boy, menstruating girls not allowed to participate.

Hey, but that doesn’t discriminate at all. lol

Yeah, I knew ol' Phudd Puppy. He was a good dog.

Brave and true and fearless, and about five pounds.

I still don't know what made his nose red.

This is like the “Bong hits for Jesus!” t-shirt that resulted in some male student getting suspended several years ago but the message is just the opposite.

If a student in Canada wore a T-shirt that said “Gitchee Manitou Loves Jesus” their heads would explode.

Sometimes it takes decades for a mans purpose in life to make itself clear.

But whe it does, it really does.

A calling is not always heard. A calling may sometimes be misunderstood.

But when a calling is both heard and understood, the power of it is awesome indeed.

What ever happened to freedom of speech/expression?

Freedom of speech and expression does not apply to open expression of religious faith. According to liberal doctrine, this is “hate” speech.

On other other hand, shirts praising homosexuality, Che Guevarra, Obama, The Vagina Monologues, fighting global warming, and other liberal ideas are okay.

There are no consistent standards with liberals. It’s just that if an expression supports a liberal cause, then it’s okay. If an expression supports religion or a conservative message, then it’s to be banned in school.
