Biden 'absolutely comfortable' with gay marriage

Vice President Joe Biden said he doesn't know if a second Obama administration would support same-sex marriage, but he said he's "absolutely comfortable" with it.

"Look-- I just think-- that-- the good news is that as more and more Americans become to understand what this is all about is a simple proposition. Who do you love? Who do you love? And will you be loyal to the person you love? And that's what people are finding out is what-- what all marriages, at their root, are about. Whe-- whether they're-- marriages of lesbians or gay men or heterosexuals," Biden said in an interview that aired Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

President Barack Obama has said his views are still evolving on the matter, although he is for civil unions.

"I am vice president of the United States of America. The president sets the policy. I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly, I don't see much of a distinction-- beyond that," Biden said.

He suggested to host David Gregory that as society has become accustomed to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people, the door has opened for instituting federal measures to protect them, from executive orders banning discrimination to the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

If you’re too stupid to know that marriage and precreation of the human race go together, shame on you. Everything else is against nature.

I would expect his priest, or any other so informed, to deny him the sacraments of the Catholic faith.

He’s comfortable with the fag he works for, so why wouldn’t he be comfy with gay marriage, or any agenda that destroys this country’s old culture, morals, and institutions. That’s what the left is all about, and a dummy like Biden fits right into the scheme.

Does Joe have something he'd perhaps like to tell us?

What about his kids? Have they all come out to the old man yet?

Joe is a traitor to the Constitution....the document that he took an oath to defend. One nation under God-—We go by one standard, Joe. Not yours or Barney Frank’s. We are supposed to uphold “the laws of nature and nature’s God” in our legal system.

To say that the Natural Family is obsolete, denies the basic duty of all people—to raise their own progeny and it denies the Natural Rights of children to be raised in the most emotionally healthy environment—proven throughout the study of all cultures in all times. Promoting the General Welfare of ALL people is the reason for “Just Law”.

Joe is denying Natural Laws—the basis of American Jurisprudence. It is unconstitutional and removes logic and reason from our legal system—the aim of all progressive/Marxists. Joe is promoting unequal laws which deny the very nature of man and woman.

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 21, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In an address to InsideCatholic.com’s 14th Annual Partnership Dinner Friday evening, Archbishop Raymond Burke, Prefect of the Vatican’s Apostolic Signatura, said that funeral rites should not be given to pro-abortion Catholic politicians. He also defended the duty of Catholics to speak in charity against the scandal caused by such figures.

The archbishop said that, while “we must speak the truth in charity,” Catholics also “should have the courage to look truth in the eye and call things by their common names.”

“It is not possible to be a practicing Catholic and to conduct oneself in this manner,” he told the crowd of about 200 guests.

Burke hammered home his message of the need for fidelity to Church teaching on the part of Catholics in politics in his 50-minute speech. The archbishop, known for his unwavering and vocal defense of the Church’s teachings on life and family issues, was given a standing ovation at the conclusion of his address.

In what appeared to be a reference to the Kennedy funeral scandal, Burke said that “neither Holy Communion nor funeral rites should be administered to” politicians who support abortion or same-sex “marriage.” “To deny these is not a judgment of the soul, but a recognition of the scandal and its effects,” he said.

Burke said that when a politician is associated “with greatly sinful acts about fundamental questions like abortion and marriage, his repentance must also be public.”

“Anyone who grasps the gravity of what he has done will understand the need to make it public,” said Burke.

Sen. Ted Kennedy, a staunch abortion and same-sex “marriage” supporter, was laid to rest in a highly publicized and laudatory Catholic funeral ceremony in Boston on August 29. Catholic pro-life leaders had pleaded with Cardinal Sean O’Malley not to allow the public ceremony, but the cardinal ultimately presided over the rites. In turn, other leaders in the Catholic community, most notably Fr. Thomas Rosica, the CEO of Canada’s Salt & Light television network, lambasted the pro-life response to the funeral as uncharitable.

About the pro-life leaders and activists who expressed concern about Kennedy’s funeral, Rosica wrote on his blog, “many so-called lovers of life and activists in the pro-life movement, as well as well-known colleagues in Catholic television broadcasting and media in North America, have revealed themselves to be not agents of life, but of division, destruction, hatred, vitriol, judgment and violence.”

Burke, however, defended those who spoke out against such scandal, pointing out that unity within the Church is ultimately based upon the truth.

“The Church’s unity is founded on speaking the truth in love,” he said. “This does not destroy unity but helps to repair a breach in the life of the Church.”

There’s no way Slimy Joe is in invincible ignorance on this issue, as well as the issue of scandal. He is an adult Catholic and he damn well knows Church teaching. He better hope he doesn’t suddenly die in unrepented sin.

And this man is Catholic, folks. He’s also pro-abortion. Why the Catholic Church allows people like Biden, Pelosi, Sebelius, etc. to continue to publicly claim themselves as Catholics but flagrantly parade around in open defiance of the Church teachings is beyond me.
