Who needs football when you can have “Hunger Games, the Series”?
Well, if the wusses/libs say that some things are just too dangerous then I guess I’ll just have to go to the bedroom, curl up in a fetal position and never come out of the bedroom ever again. Of course, I’ll have to move the computer, refrigerator and stove to the bedroom. Oh, but they won’t fit! Oops! And electricity is dangrous. What a conundrum! /sarc
IDIOTS! Where does it end?
Man, it never ends......
Minorities hit hardest.
Outstanding post. It was about "de-b@!!ing" our Templar Knights, i.e. our Naval Aviators. Yes I believe that analogy is valid.
This is about the further diminishing of men in our culture. The saddest part is it is one arena where Americans of African decent excel and often get into business post their careers, especially franchises such as auto. This is one segment where more positive role models are needed, especially after what the Great Society did to their families. Now that door will close? Never-mind sharing the wealth, this will prohibit these Men from obtaining it via their individual exceptional-ism. We can't have stand outs with the "Community Garden" and the "Collective"...
Michelle meant itt; "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."
But don't get ahead of yourself Michelle, I can see November from my house and Submission has not been accomplished.
I wouldn’t walk across the street to see any football game ever played.
T-football is coming.
Players will carefully run from one end of the field or the other one at a time to a football set on a pedestal. The team with the fasted combined times will take possession of the ball. That team will then walk toward their endzone as the other team tries to talk them out of scoring. Law students will moderate the discussion.
...and everyone gets a trophy.
I’m not a football fan either but if somebody paid me what some players make I could learn.
I’m a baseball fan and I’m surprised they haven’t forced all the players and umps to wear helmets yet. Its kinda funny that a base runner must have his helmet as he stands on base next to the baseman who doesn’t have to wear one.
and a hug.
Do we know for a fact Seau’s suicide had anything to do with concussions?
Not yet.
I've always thought that people up East thought that having their kids play rugby, lacrosse, and soccer was a way to one-up the suburban kids -- the ones who were going to hold doors for their kids, say "yes sir" to their kids, get coffee and so on.
The popularization of soccer in particular has been a very RiNO/DiNO thing, a very UMC thing. And the growth of rugby and lacrosse has always been an Ivy League/liberal art school phenomenon, or at least I've thought so.
Bill Bennett on "Morning in America" told on a woman he was conversing with last week in a group of suburban DC parents. The woman was enthusiastic about her kid's preschool, because, she said, "It's a feeder for Princeton."
Preschool. Princeton. Yeah, right. <Bennett guffawing>
Football is not going to get banned. But it won’t be as prominent in the future. We’ll see less White kids and Black kids from middle to upper classes playing football. Talent is going to dry up. Just like boxing. Sure, boxing is still around. It’s just not as big as it used to be when Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali were in their prime.
