NEW YORK -- A New York City health department inspector bizarrely slapped a Brooklyn bagel shop with $1,650 in fines -- because sesame and poppy seeds fell to the floor while the bagels were being made during working hours.

The owner of B&B Empire Bagel Cafe -- who appealed the violations and lost at two separate hearings -- said the inspectors must have holes in their heads.

Rush covered this today. Bagels seem to be on dipship Bloooombergs list. He banned the giving of free bagels to the poor because of the salt content...it all fits....

...my pre-written response to all things Bloomberg:

Bloomers is a Crony-capitalist, nebbish, poor little rich boy, self hating jew, tiny buttwipe of a man...the only reason he is probably not a fag (the jury is still out) is that he has the greatest aphrodisiac of all time, billions of dollars....he decries the 2nd amendment, but whines about how the enemy’s first amendment rights to worship are being usurped....even though Islam is NOT a religion but a murder cult.....and dont get me started on salt, transfats, cigarettes and sugar

Insufficient melanin or simply wrong party registration?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That, or the usual problem: The bagel makers failed to slip cash under the table to bribe the inspecters.
I'm sure it was the mouse droppings that intermingled with the seed droppings that moved the inspectors to cite, not simply the presence of seeds on the floor.
"...the bagel shop was cited on Oct. 23, 2011, for "a heavy accumulation of seeds in the same area that many mouse droppings were found.""
Don’t forget how the Despot Bloomberg now wants all landlords to send the city a list of all the apartments they rent out to people who smoke. I kid you not. Now he is getting into Nazi tactics. “Send us a list of all the apartments you rent out to Jews”...And you know what pisses me off? This asshole isn’t even from New York. He’s a putz from Assachussets.
Darn it, I hate when my mouse dropping-topped bagels are contaminated with sesame seeds.
Zero tolerance for Sesame seeds. What a joke these inspection people are.
Half the stores in New York probably have roach’s and mice running wild and these morons are after a guy for a leaky bagel.
“......Still, city regulators were unsympathetic.”
Having been a small business owner in the past WE at the ranch have the experience as recipients of the Leftist “City Regulators” attitude towards the business community. If you own your own business, no matter the extent of your success, no matter the cash flow, no matter ANYTHING other than YOU are designated the “owner”, therefore YOU ARE RICH, therefore your bank account is fair game. They will tax, fine, assess, a business before that business can even make a single dollars profit if they can.
It’s all about revenue under the guise of for the city, the county, for the Fire, Police, Teachers.
The Leftists in government are a criminal enterprise for the purpose of stealing from the productive to skim under the guise of government legitimacy what they may for themselves.
Bloodsuckers.
Something’s not adding up here - this guy spent $900,000 to fix a problem that resulted in a $1,600 fine?
The official - as are so many Big City pols - is an officious imbecile promoted way above his ability.
He should be policing stray bits of TP in some public restroom somewhere.
After reading the New Adkins Diet book, I was surprised to find out so many things we had been told about nutrition were wrong. Adkins actually states that we may not be eating enough salt and advises to eat some soy sauce or bouillon soup each day. I though salt was eeevil. And don't get me started on cholesterol. Next we will find out that cigarettes are actually good for you.
Business owner are always named, along with the general location of the shop, in articles of this sort. The “inspector” is always anonymous agent. Why do these reporters protect their identities?
Don’t readers have the right to all pertinent information? Shouldn’t somebody monitor the monitors?
In Russia they call it “corruption”. Here we call it liberalism “gone mad”.
In America it's called communism.
"...Next we will find out that cigarettes are actually good for you. ..."
Tobacco companies used to be HUGE Republican donors (and I do mean huge)
This is why they were targeted.
If they were democrap supporters we would all be learning (probably in school) about the healthful benefits of "bathing your lungs in cleansing smoke"
...the inspectors must have holes in their heads.
There was no envelope waiting for them when they first announced their presence...that triggered a very careful inspection.
This is how the MOB works now, you can pay them for protection from the government, or you pay the gov’t which is much more costly, devastating and fully bent on your ruin, much worse than having your legs broken.
