My son serves the Constitution and the American people.
I seem to recall that military personnel, including my two (son and daughter) take an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic, not to defend him, subject to the UCMJ.
This made me go back and listen to the speech he made in summer 2008 in Colorado Springs, Co (of all places) about the need for a national civilian security force.
