Attention pro-Life and Liberty, Tea Party Citizen Reporters/Bloggers:

Attention pro-Life and Liberty Tea Party Citizen Reporters/Bloggers:

If you are pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty, pro-limited government, pro-strong defense and you are a great citizen reporter/blogger and would like to help us promote our Life and Liberty causes and would like to see your great work promoted to our millions of monthly readers on FR, then this post could be for you.

Our Bloggers Forum ( http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/bloggers-forum/index ) is open to all liberty-loving bloggers to post their great work to FR. But our readers are mostly interested in reading relevant posts in their entirety on FR without having to click to an unknown outside website where who knows what kind of cookies or tracking devices may await them. And they appreciate it very much when the blog authors join in on the ensuing conversation and become one of us.

Many times bloggers will post brief snippets only of their material and expect our readers to click on their link to get the "rest of the story" and then very seldom join in on the conversation that follows. No doubt this can give a blogger a few dozen extra hits and sometimes a little more, but unfortunately, it also raises the ire of some of our members.

If you would like to see your blog make it to the big times, and you have great news or great ideas to report, post your blog articles in their entirety to our Bloggers Forum on FR, and then join in on the fight for Liberty that follows!! If our readers like what you're posting, you may quickly become an accepted, trusted FReeper and you may start enjoying hundreds of new hits per each of your posted articles from FReepers who wish to see what else you may have to offer.

And, as a big bonus, if our moderating staff sees that you are an accepted, trusted member they may promote your work to the main news forum.

And an additional big bonus, if you really have breaking or front page news to report or something really worthy of sidebar attention, if they promote one of your articles to Breaking News, Front Page News or one of our other sidebars you could receive thousands or even tens of thousands of new hits to your blog and thousands of new readers. Especially if someone like Drudge or Rush or the Great One or some other host or well-known reporter sees it on FR, picks up on it, and it goes viral on the net or the air-waves.

Thank you all very much for your great work for Liberty!!

The lamestream media be damned!! Full steam ahead citizen reporters/bloggers!!

Rebellion is ON!!

Jim, can a blogger copyright his own original material?

(Look. You know me. I excerpt virtually everything I post here.)

What about the people who don’t have blogs, but have websites?

All I know is this: Ever since I started posting my illiterate scratching on FR, my inbox has never had more nastygrams from moonbat libs and Paultards. I couldn’t be happier! :) :) :)

Without question, FR is the place to post a Conservative blog. You’ll get (gasp!) actual Conservatives commenting on your stuff, which is beyond cool. Sometimes I’ve been a champ, sometimes I’ve been a chump, but I’ve always had a blast and made some good friends. Can’t beat that.

I don’t know why, but I thought our old friend Arlen might want to read this thread.

When I post from blogs, I excerpt. The one exception is when a blog article has a disclaimer that looks something like this: “This can be posted in its entirety as long the author/publication is credited.”

I do this because the handful of blogs I post from the researchers have gone to a great deal of time and effort to research and write their articles. Other times; it is because there are graphs, charts, tables I cannot copy and paste correctly. Once in awhile, I do not post complete articles because some of the material is not suitable for all age groups.

Finally, when a person complains that he does not understand the content of the excerpt — please go on to the next thread. Apparently the thread you are reading is not for you. Really.

My opinion fwiw.

Oh I know HG, self-appointed policeperson of those who Blog.

Let me say this, I have no problem whatsoever with posting my entire Blog post on a FR post. I might get some extra hits to my Blog when I put a post up on the Bloggers forum but they’re not all that many, FreeRepublic needs to get over itself.

I am a regular commentator on FreeRepublic, generally well like and appreciated for my thoughts and ability to express, and have been a member for some ten years.

BUT....I CANNOT post my entire Blog post on FreeRepublic. The way this web site is configured it just does not accept a lot of the code included in Blog posts.

Which is not to say, I caution, that there isn’t a way to post just the text of a Blog post or to make the Blog post fit I must suppose.

For now, however, for me, believe that it’s really not worth the bother.

I am quite interested in the notion of using FreeRepublic as more than just a place for comments on news articles. There’s a plethora of talented people on this site and I think getting some of that writing and inspirational ability on a page more accessible to people (as opposed to just comments) is a great idea.

I’ll keep my mind open.
