A state championship high school baseball game is over before tonight's first pitch, after one Arizona team forfeited rather than play an opponent with a girl in the lineup.
Our Lady of Sorrows refused to play Mesa Preparatory Academy in Thursday’s scheduled Arizona Charter Athletic Association state championship game, because that team has Paige Sultzbach at second base. The 15-year-old agreed to sit out a pair of regular season victories over Our Lady of Sorrows, which is run by the Society of St. Pius X, an traditionalist church that broke away from Roman Catholic Church over Vatican reforms in 1970. But with everything on the line tonight, Sultzbach wasn't willing to stay glued to the bench — even if it means no game at all.

In a statement to FoxNews.com, an Our Lady of Sorrows official said the school had no choice but to forfeit because it has a strict policy prohibiting participation in co-ed athletics and believes in "forming and educating boys and girls" separately.
“Teaching our boys to treat ladies with deference, we choose not to place them in an athletic competition where proper boundaries can only be respected with difficulty,” the statement read. "Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls."

Genuine nice, civilized American men can enjoy co-ed sports with their female friends, girlfriends, and spouses because they enjoy the time and activity together. They don't insult them by telling them that they can't in some circumstances play with the guys because "their bodies are only for makin' babies."

Most co-ed leagues I played on were for fun and drinking beer. the serious stuff was men's league and I suspect that the Catholic school just didn't want to change it's mission for a baseball game.
It's their choice. Now as far as the outlier girl who can compete with guys, I have my opinions about certain women that I've been exposed to that "competed" with men. Specifically a "self defense" instructor that made it clear she could handle any man. F'ing joke. If a team can't find a second baseman that can beat out a girl.... well they suck and probably can't compete. I say, let the school decide on what they want to compete in. It's baseball, who really cares?

Completely my opinion. It takes a pretty pathetic individual to hide behind so-called “principles” because they are either socially inept or unwilling to admit they think “women should just be in the kitchen or bedroom”. No real man would have refused to play this game.
she must be in the top .25% of women or the guys she plays against suck.... before you get her into "grappling" self defense I hope you realize that even if she were attacked and lucky enough to get someone in an arm-bar, ankle lock, choke hold that someone strong enough can pick her up and slam her back first into the deck, unless she's a horse... but since she can smoke men in B-ball she might be a hefty chick.
I had the same type of BS pulled on me by an instructor that made a big deal about beating on guys because of her training. I didn't choke her out but her face was awful purple, the snot was coming out of her nose while she tried to breath through her teeth and the vein in the middle of her forehead stuck out like a hose. I even let her get on top and straddle me the second time. My point is that in a "real" competition the aggressive nature and superior upper body strength of men usually wins out. Otherwise you'd see women in the NBA, MLB, NFL and my favorite Mixed martial arts.
The only place that women beat men is in Hollywood, Cable/Network Television, Broadway and Angelina Jolie movies. All places inhabited by girly men with sexual identity issues trying to make all men metrosexual eunuchs.
I like coed sports, like mixed tennis leagues, soft ball and jogging/triathalons etc.. but when it comes to full contact sports where I'm trying to really win I'd rather not have to kick a woman's ass. Cause its' not a good thing to hurt a lady and whether you win or lose you still look like a d#ck beating a woman.
Heck I ended up losing to the female instructor in the long run, cause I ended up in "office hours" and was lucky that was the end of it.
Then lets bring it home shall we? What's the difference between that school and the MAYA School in Dearborn, MI which doesn't recognize women's rights of equality either?

Jessica Lynch and her dying friend, single mother Pfc. Lori Piestewa. Immediate release of that graphic video might have changed the course of the war.
In 1992, experts proposed a solution for that possibility. Specialists who train potential prisoners of war in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) techniques testified before the Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces.
They said it was necessary to use special exercises to “desensitize” the men so that the enemy would not exploit the captives’ heightened concern about female colleagues being physically and sexually abused.
The SERE trainers added that the entire nation would have to be conditioned to accept combat violence against women.

I’d seen women with black belts get creamed by “average Joes” with no martial arts training, but who could bench press 250 lbs. (which is not actually that much, considering).
This nonsense about women being physical equal with men is simply bilious mental masturbation. If it were true, then the entirety of gender roles throughout history would not be what they were.
Sure, sure, there are always going to be some women who can run faster or whatnot than some men. That’s because there is some overlap of the bell curves. Nevertheless, no matter how fast or strong a woman may be, she is not going to be faster or stronger than a man who engages in similar levels of working out and training. An female olympian can easily outrun a middle-aged male accountant with a spare tire. She will, however, pretty much ALWAYS get beat by a male olympian in the same sport.
That's fine. In turn, I pretty much put all of my female colleagues to shame intellectually. Though, I'll grant, I don't put them to shame on the tennis court, since I don't play tennis, never having cared much for the sport.

So, one summer eigth grade boys in lax camp and also at same place high school girls in lax camp. Lax is different with boys and girls. Boys have stick contact and smash into one another. Girls don’t. Boys have pads and helmets. Girls don’t. Girls challenged boys to a game by girls’ no contact rules. No safety equipment. Male camp leaders tell boys, no contact. Camp leaders tell girls, beat them with your sticks as much as you like.
I pick up the boys at camp in my van. They are bruised and have cuts on heads and faces. I demand to know what the hell happened and they explained the girls cheated.
I flew out of van armed with lax stick. I go to men and scream - “what the He!! happened here?” They explain. I want to know why they did not cancle game. They would be ashamed to run from the girls team. They promise it will never happen again. They are ashamed and promise it will never happen again.
I move on to women team leaders and they start laughing. I put the stick over my head and say “ Good you think it is funny to be beaten by a lax stick. Let’s see!” I swing and barely miss on purpose and they run. I chase them and they are screaming. One is crying. I cussed a lot. Men laugh at the tuff girls.
I go back to the van and yell at the boys for not calling off the game and for getting hurt. I tell tem they are in charge of themselves and each other when azzhats are in charge. I call all the parents. Camp cancelled.
Feminazis are pure animals when it comes to competing with boys. Boys who are raised right won’t be as brutal with girls as they are with boys. Not the other way around. I don’t want boys beating up on girls. I don’t want feminazis bring about that “change.”
I think it is more disturbing encouraging women to compete with men physically or in any other fashion.

At no time was anyone here referring to professional or highly skilled leagues, although there doesn't seem to be any shortage of faux experts like yourself waiting for the chance to chime in about how big and bad they are.
