A state championship high school baseball game is over before tonight's first pitch, after one Arizona team forfeited rather than play an opponent with a girl in the lineup.
Our Lady of Sorrows refused to play Mesa Preparatory Academy in Thursday’s scheduled Arizona Charter Athletic Association state championship game, because that team has Paige Sultzbach at second base. The 15-year-old agreed to sit out a pair of regular season victories over Our Lady of Sorrows, which is run by the Society of St. Pius X, an traditionalist church that broke away from Roman Catholic Church over Vatican reforms in 1970. But with everything on the line tonight, Sultzbach wasn't willing to stay glued to the bench — even if it means no game at all.

In a statement to FoxNews.com, an Our Lady of Sorrows official said the school had no choice but to forfeit because it has a strict policy prohibiting participation in co-ed athletics and believes in "forming and educating boys and girls" separately.
“Teaching our boys to treat ladies with deference, we choose not to place them in an athletic competition where proper boundaries can only be respected with difficulty,” the statement read. "Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls."

BTW, Marxism did take over the curricula with Dewey. Marxism is the reason God was taken out of the schools in the 50’s . ACLU, Feminist movement, Unions and Homosexual movement are all Marxist movements and they are controlling everything right now. It is a fact and easy to research.

I will say that I’m quite happy you do not make the suggestion that this extends to the realm of the intellect, as some others who have been arguing your side of this issue have. That women should also not compete with men in the workplace.
If you read the article, ‘contact’ has nothing to do with it. They are opposed to competition between sexes in any sport. It could be tennis or croquet. The school’s policy, rather traditional, is to separate the sexes in all athletic endeavors. And to maintain that, they were willing to forfeit the championship.
Not really-—although my kids played in coed sports-—it is to embarrass the boys and condition girls to think they are equally as strong as men. Very subtle, yes. It is to undermine maleness and eliminate the risk-adverse female trait.
It is like the conditioning in Hollywood movies—where women kick men’s butts-—it is a joke....the women would get killed in the real situation unless they had a gun-—but they mostly do hand to hand combat.
It is soooooo unrealistic but it makes girls “feel” so empowered and probably sets them up to end up dead in a forest somewhere. Girls think they can battle a guy in hand to hand combat. If both have training, the girl dies.

Apparently you selectively read the article, as a careful read would have enlightened you to the fact that this school had no issue with the young lady being on the roster, as long as a gentleman’s agreement that she would not play was honored.

I would suggest it is who YOU read what you wanted. Try again, and tell me how the above verbatim quote differs from my statement “they are opposed to competition between sexes in any sport.”
When the girl on the other team doesn’t play there’s no competition between the sexes, is there? I am not responsible for your inferences of something not said or written.
The young lady is on the team, therefore they are competing against a coed team. Words mean things.
My kids were the MVP’s and pitched and played the whole game (boys) and the girls sat on the bench and played only half of the game as was required of all players. I hadn’t read Marx yet and was naive—I even voted for Carter-—that should make you puke.
I also went along with “Values Clarification” in the public schools—didn’t know it was intentionally designed to destroy morality in young children....But as I age—I get much much wiser because I have read so many brilliant books.

Wow. Sally Ride and Judith Resnick would be proud of you. And by “proud”, I mean they would vomit. They didn’t beat out 5000 men to become astronauts by “knowing boys are holding back”. Thank God you are not my wife raising my three daughters.
Then I find their stance comically naive. A desire to not compete against females in croquet or tennis is really not about respecting girls anymore, it’s about a fear of the fellas of being shown up.

That male mass/endurance advantage means not a thing at second base. Only a modicum of agility and hand to eye coordination is required to play there. The lack of athleticism required to play there is why there are far more shortstops than second basemen in the MLB HoF.
