In April the Minnesota branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations announced that retail giant Best Buy had become a Platinum Sponsor for its fifth anniversary banquet. And former U.S. Marine James Canning decided to do something about it.
In a YouTube video, the Iraq and Beirut veteran demonstrated his frustration with one of his favorite stores by cutting his Best Buy Reward Zone card in half.
Because of this support Best Buy has been giving the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR, I can no longer conduct business with Best Buy.
When youve got a company that supports an organization that supports terrorism, Canning said of his boycott, its kind of, in my opinion, asinine to do my business there.
Is Best Buy still in business?
BB is one of the 10 companies expected to fold this year. Hope this boycott accelerates the demise..
Maybe they can do better businees in Pakeestan?
The only time I go to BB is when I just happen to look/touch the item before buying the very same item on Amazon ;)
I think that banquet is where they raised $400,000 in a single night. It’s pretty hard for people like Pamela Geller ((http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/) who basically has to beg for $10 or $25 donations to effectively take on an organization with that kind of dough.
Same can be said of FR I guess.
YES! Best Buy is Amazon’s local display store, isin’t it? I always wondered why the stuff cost so much more when you bought it there and hauled it home, as compared to when you just stood there and ordered it delivered directly to your home from your Amazon.com account? ( May BestBuy enjoy a pleasant flight to collect on its 72 virgins, and soon.)
I was with my neighbor recently and he actually went there to “test” a DSLR camera he liked at BB. After holding it, checking out the features etc, he eventually went online and bought it from Ebay for $150 less. To add insult to injury, he later checked out the Blu Ray dept, listed the BR’s he didn’t have and downloaded them on the torrents.
I needed to buy an SD Card reader Monday. I checked the price at Bestbuy (only because it is within 150 feet of where I work). Bestbuy wanted $17.55 for it. I bought it at Walmart for $4.56 and it was the same brand and model. Nobody with half a brain would buy from Bestbuy.
I knew deep down inside there was a good reason not to like those slackers.
I spent an hour at a store in Hagerstown trying to get a credit on a purchase. After waiting an hour, I asked to see a manager. I was told that they did know who that was! Haven’t shopped there since.
Best Buy is such a crap store - you can always find stuff cheaper on Amazon or New Egg.com. For example an HDMI cable at best buy will run you $20.00 a hdmi cable from Amazon will only end up costing you $2.00 on Amazon.
No more Best Buy for me. I have removed them from my Bookmarks. They are consequences for acting like a dhimmi.
On top of all their other misgivings, doesn’t “Best Buy” have a re-stocking fee if you return electronics?
You’d think that an ex-marine would know the correct way to display the flag.
Best Buy hasn’t been any such thing for years. I buy anywhere but there. Best Buy is going down the hole anyway.
I used to love shopping there. Used to.
