Time to Panic?: Romney Takes Eight Point Lead over Obama
Big Government ^ | 5/12/12/ | John Nolte

Posted on 05/12/2012 10:17:05 AM PDT by y6162

Yesterday, Rasmussen had Governor Romney up 7 points over Obama, 50-43. Today, the poll's rolling three-day average has increased Romney's lead to 8, 50-42.

Any way you slice it, this is horrible news for a sitting incumbent. Not only has his challenger reached the magic 50-point mark for two days running, but any incumbent under 50, especially in the mid-to-low 40s, is in deep trouble. According to Rasmussen, 58% of the country is not ready to vote for this known quantity. And it's just a fact that undecideds almost always choose the challenger.

Ras polls only 'likely' voters and adjusts party participation to reflect actual past voting results. Those who poll while cheerleading for Obama use 'adults' or 'registered' voters and put their thumbs on the scale and weight heavily for rats. The WH internals are probably even worse than the Ras numbers.

Having fun yet, Axelrod?

Man, you really gotta suck to trail Romney.

It is hard to think of an LDS as Amoral, he is close

But Obama is just flat Immoral and destructive to
family, society, business, and defense

He is doing profound injury to his own people (his definition)
He is damaging the Constitution that he is sworn to uphold

I keep waiting for lightning to hit

Yeah if Mitt changed his name to “Anybody But Obama” he would win by an even bigger landslide come November,

It's a choice between death and blindness,

"Any way you slice it, this is horrible news for a sitting incumbent."

It's enough to make Jimmy Carter blush.
It will be interesting to see if say about a month to go and ZERO realizes it's over. He could do a lot of stupid things. I mean even dumber than what he has already done.

Looks like the DNC will have to dump Obama for some reason or go down to flaming defeat-—OR maybe not?
1. Obama could cancel the election due to some manufactured event—a race riot, terrorism, Pandemic, natural disaster, Maybe blow up a nuke plant? Another 9-11? War?
2. Obama could have Mittens Assassinated?
3. Obama could use friends to cancel the election with fraud and secret deals with the Blue states. He wins a landslide!
4. Obama could use the military to take over—rule by decree— and deal with all opposition. Cancel all Hate Parties—and Ban the GOP.
5. Blow up or burn Congress—be granted extraordinary powers and become “Leader”? Time to switch to de-caf coffee.

Obama will not drop below 42%. That is the minimum estimate number of leeches and liberals in this country when spread over the electoral system.

“We need to force Romney to champion our values.”

The Kenyan’s “war on” campaign flogged on by the MSM has flopped. This is good news.

I think the Tea Party will have a say with Romney.

Even leeches and liberals can become disspirited by their standard bearer's incompetence and duplicity. Maybe some of them stay home...

Though Obama’s policies have the country in a mess, I don’t think it’s his policies that explain the political mess he’s now in.

No, it’s that his true character is slowly being revealed. And not through his actions either.

It’s his speeches.

We seem surprised that every time the One delivers a speech, the ensuing polls show a drop. It’s not the content of these speeches that’s causing them to be ill-received, unless you factor in the monotony of repeated failed ideas.

Obama’s delivery now has a noticeable tinge of anger and desperation. Worse for him, the ubiquitous use of the words “I” and “me”, and “my administration”, “my cabinet”, “my Secretary of...”, is corroborating for all the most reviled character trait anyone in any social circle can possess-arrogance.

Clinically extreme arrogance.

We on the right have known this and reviled him for some time. Now the rest of the world is noticing. Arrogance is a turn-off, even to some who share the same beliefs.

With the media constantly shilling for him, protecting him, excusing him, he becomes like the teacher’s pet student in school. It’s the student’s reaction to being chosen in this way that determines his popularity. Arrogance is the reaction that brings scorn and ridicule.

There’s a reason previous presidents have been careful to show humility. It is a leadership trait that is essential to getting things done. For a leader to be constantly taking credit for successes of the minions is demoralizing and debilitating to any effort, and when noticed, can be cringe-inducing.

It’s Obama’s narcissism that is being noticed. It comes through now in his every utterance, and makes him small.

Combine this general feeling of his character with the fact that the economy is in the tank, and you have the makings of a landslide in 2012.

“Obama will not drop below 42%”

He will if he loses black support. Gay marriage isn’t popular among blacks.

The Kenyan gets 100% of 13% blacks in every poll. Take away 13 and he is polling 29.

I would venture to say 45% as the bottom-out figure for Obama. The demographics have changed dramatically since the 1980 election. If we applied today’s electorate to the Reagan-Carter election, Reagan would have won but barely, maybe 48% to 44% and maybe 300-320 EV.

One of the things that developed first in America is a political party class which is detached from any politician. These people at the DNC and RNC support their candidates, but they take a long term view as well. They will not dump a candidate unless for dire reasons, and the simple fact that he will lose is not dire enough. The reason is they are taking a longer term view of keeping their base constituents together for the next election, rather than stabbing on of their own in the back and losing their base. To them being out of power is the time to build the base back up, blame the other guy, etc, not to do a scorched earth policy.

True. America can see madness in the lizard’s eyes. He’s frightening. The left’s thug tactics are backfiring. America doesn’t like getting bullied.

I really don’t think so. I remember blacks laughing about OJ getting off. I remember both blacks and liberals laughing about Clinton and the BJ and how he was a ‘player’ and ‘it was not sex’.

The most consistent thing about a liberal (a leech in the common vernacular) is their ability to irrationally rationalize the faults of ‘their guy’. They may be disillusioned, but they will not give up their guy - because they know their foolishness would come to an end when a sane man or woman with balls enters the White House.
