It was one of those chain emails sent to me by a former neighbor. I expect if there are copyrights I’m in trouble;)

Just cut and paste & email to your friends, but be sure to say “author unknown”. Sometimes, if you paste a sentence or two in google or bing - the whole text will show an author.
Give it a whirl.

Agreed in part. But many employers are looking at their older employees as a huge liability. The reason? Health care costs.

A manager at my company has said we need to start replacing age 50 and over with younger workers, because we can't afford the health care costs. We have had four joint replacements, a stomach operation, and a few cancer cases just in the last year. The parent company has been lobbying, hard, for socialized medicine in the US.

If the employer didn't have to pay for health care, the hiring dynamics would be much different.

Just like a drought destroys the young tender plants and hardly affects the old oaks, so to a recession takes its toll on the young. It has always been thus.

Young people need to accept that their hero, Obama, has put their lives on hold. It will pass, they will just be behind the curve about 5 years. Sucks, but elections have consequences.
