Everyone in my family loves “The Andy Griffith show” even my teenage daughters.

It was so good that even the casting of a bitter, kooky old liberal whackjob like Andy Griffith and an ill-tempered snarly curmudgeon like Frances Bavier could not spoil it.

Anyhow, a clean show can be very successful.

There is a sitcom called Corner Gas. It was a top-rated show in Canada. It is one of the cleanest programs produced in this century, and is very funny.

Probably why no American network is running it currently.

Of course Canada needs to answer for that DeGrassi Junior High crap.

If you look at TV and movie history, almost all religious offerings made money. Some made a fortune. Safest genre there ever was. Ideology trumps profit for them....every time!

The website for GBC at ABC spelled it out. And there was no asterix.

That, and it ended production a couple years ago.

And this is the sad, short sightedness of liberalism. Your liberal friend is afraid of Muslims becoming violent. But he is not afraid of Christians. Yes, he really does not have to fear Christians. If Christians follow doctrine, they will not harm him. Your liberal friend is afraid of MAN and that is about it. But he should be afraid of the one who not only has power over death, but eternity as well. That is whom we should all fear.

"CSI: Mayberry"

I wish I had the imagination to do your brilliant idea justice.

Barney: Andy, I'm arresting Aunt Bea.

Andy: Now Barney, what ever would make you say a thing like that?

Barney: Somebody stole an blueberry pie from the Women's Auxiliary table at the fire house social, and Aunt Bea's fingerprints were all over the pie tin I found outside of the window...I figure she must had reached in and grabbed it. Just a' grabbed it like nobody's business.

Andy: Well - did it ever occur to you that maybe she was the one that baked the pie?

Barney: *embarrassed silence*

Andy: And how did you get Aunt Bea's fingerprints anyway? You don't mean to tell me....

I ran across DeGrassi High the other day, I watched about 10 seconds of it where a girl announced herself as a tranny.

....

ugh

...

Why is this allowed on a children’s channel?

Most heartbreaking to me was that Kristen Chenowith, a highly talented singer (from “Wicked” the musical) and professed Christian was starring in this show.

I picked up her “memoir” in a bookstore the other day and was sad to read her words as she began to explain away her compromise with the world system that accepts all behavior and essentially won’t condemn any sin. (Indeed, the only “sin” condemned anymore is the “sin” of expecting people to repent of their evil behavior and live biblically.)

I am glad this show was cancelled, and hope we can be pleased for a moment and then go back on the offensive...offer people ALTERNATIVES to the next sinful piece of entertainment that will replace “GCB”.

Remember we are to hate the sin and love the sinner...
