When the tragic story of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin consumed the nation over the past few months, a number of questions were raised about racism, vigilantism, and self defense laws. However, the most important question was always the first one; what exactly happened that fateful night? The shooter, George Zimmerman, has always claimed that he fired his gun in self defense, something many found hard to believe considering the young boy he killed was unarmed. However, tonight, ABC World News broke information about the injuries Zimmerman received that may shed more light on just how that night went down.
ABC, who were also first to break the bloodied images of Zimmerman’s head that disputed video seemingly showing him unharmed, have now obtained Zimmerman’s detailed medical records.
The document describes Zimmerman as having suffered two black eyes, wounds to the back of the head, as well as a broken nose but that he declined both hospitalization after the encounter as well as a follow up with an ENT doctor. The doctor who wrote the document also writes that Zimmerman suffers from stress and “nausea” when thinking about the night and was strongly advised to see a psychologist.
It also states that, prior to the shooting, Zimmerman had been prescribed the drugs Adderall and Temazepam, medication that ABC points out “can cause side effects such as agitation and mood swings, but in fewer than 10 percent of patients.”
Of course, none of this proves exactly what the events were that led to Martin’s death. But they are important facts to add to this sad, sad story.

The ‘real tragedy’ is the current reaction, or lack of it, by the mainstream media to black gangs beating white people senseless, whether in Norfolk, Tampa, or elsewhere. Yet this information should have been deduced from day 1. From the eyewitness testimony that Zim was on his back getting punched in the face by Trayvon, per local news reports.
But the Corrupt Liberal Media ignored it, and created a National Lynch Mob with their “reporting”, and a man is being railroaded by a political prosecutor to mollify the mob, with Eric “My People” Holder waiting in the wings to complete the lynching if the locals fail

The prosecutor in this case is over zealous and has a history of over charging. Currently she is prosecuting a 13y.o. for murder wherein he is mentally deficient. In another case, her office recently prosecuted some woman for firing a gun at her assailant in a domestic case. The woman shot to scare away her husband, no one hit, yet she is doing 20 years now which has outraged some in the black community. Seeminly she has no balance between victims rights and justice....her first comments about the Martin case were in support of his family over the loss of their wonderful son. Sorry to say she is a GOPer who defeated a liberal handily in the last election with good support from the conservative community. I believe she is now running unopposed. Wow.
I don't know if that will be enough to get him off. Probably depends on where the trial is held.
It would be very relevant if it showed he had drugs in his system, because it would corroborate Zimmerman’s suspicions based on Trayvon’s BEHAVIOR and thus blow away the racial profiling claim.
The prosecution can explain the lacerations on Trayvon’s knuckles from where he dragged them on the ground...
If found innocent, hopefully, he cannot be tried again. That would be the end of it.

The media seems unwilling to back off from their original story line—”unarmed black teenager” killed by racially-profiling trigger-happy white vigilante. Even if the proceedings in court are done properly and they actually get honest jurors who will decide on the basis of the evidence, it could be an explosive situation when the trial happens, with the public, especially the black community, expecting a conviction. Probably Sharpton and Jackson and the usual suspects will have demonstrations going on. Will the jurors fear they will trigger widespread rioting if they find Zimmerman innocent?

It really disturbs me that the woefully ignorant and liberals are absolutely convinced that Zimmerman had a duty to die because, according to their severly skewed version of the events, he instigated the “fight”.
The facts are already bearing out that Martin himself hid, watched Zimmerman go by, and then ambushed him on his return to his truck.
Personally, I don’t care if George Zimmerman was the Grand Kleagle of the local KKK, grabbed Martin by the arm, and called him everything but his Christian name. There was a disparity of force used by Martin, and any REASONABLE person would fear for his or her life when getting their head split on concrete by a bigger, younger, and more physically fit person.
That right of self defense is endemic to free peoples of the world, statutory or Constitutional law aside.

Of course Zimmerman will be acquitted. The only question is will it be close enough to the election to result in riot induced voter turnout. That is what this has been about all along.

All that matters is whitey is bad... Must be punished... And Obama needs a race war and by hook or crook, he'll have one.
Just the opposite....if he had drugs in his system, it would portray Zimmerman as being racist....because that would be deemed to be Zimmerman’s perception of ALL BLACKS.
Nope; using the "Stand your ground" defense is a non-starter. That implies that Zimmerman could make a decision to walk away or to fight. Zimmerman did not have the opportunity to walk away; he was lying on his back getting his head bashed into the concrete.
If it is disclosed that Martin tried to pull out Zimmerman's gun (by fingerprints or other validation), then Zimmerman will have a slam dunk not guilty verdict. If that wasn't the case, Zimmerman still has a strong self-defense argument in that having one's head bashed against the ground, after suffering a broken nose and two black eyes, should still convince a jury of his peers that he is not guilty of anything.
