New book claims Michelle Obama prepared divorce papers to separate from Barack - leaving him so depressed friends feared he'd kill himself

Michelle Obama prepared divorce papers to separate from Barack Obama in 2000 following his disastrous attempt to win a House seat in Chicago, according to a new book.
When he lost miserably the future First Lady was supposedly disgusted that her husband had ignored her warnings not to take on the four term incumbent Bobby Rush.
Their marriage - in its eighth year at the time - was ‘on the rocks’ with Mr Obama so depressed some of his friends feared he was suicidal.
The claims mark the second time the Obamas have faced allegations they were on the verge of divorce after reports in 2010 suggested they were having difficulties.

You know, I am no fan of Obama, I think he has really hurt this country and I think his values are awful. That being said, I don’t know of any marriage that hasn’t had its problems. The fact is lots of marriages don’t make it 21 years.

It´s the Mail, but it makes a lot of sense. That she warned him against it is just the cover for the core of the matter - women really don´t like losers. Especially not depressed, self-pitying losers.
When he lost that election, she probably thought she hitched onto the wrong wagon and almost prematurely unhitched.

The stresses of a straight/gay relationship are not something I want to contemplate, or understand. Suffice it to say it must be difficult. Add to that the pressure from both Barry and Michelle knowing he is a fraud, and his god complex having to deal with that.

We’ve seen how he is just like Reagan, King FDR and any other majorly respected president.
To introduce just a little woman trouble is to reinforce how studly he is, definitely heterosexual, still “cool” and is DA MAN!
Will he “sing” again before November? I’d count on it, if they can keep the cheering section going again.

I don’t like the Obamas, but I do not think this issue is at all important. Many couples go through times of difficulty, but push through it and manage to save the marriage which becomes stronger.

I would bet almost anything at this point that within 5 years of losing office in 2013 - michelle and barry are going to be broke and divorced.
That would be far better revenge than Barry performing seppuku.

Well we want to read it anyway. If this was a Republican it would be all over the news.
No doubt he was so depressed because he was about to lose his beard and chances for the potus.
He didn’t want her running around telling the world all she knew about his made-up life story.

We can guess at the Obamas’ various fictions, but Michelle perplexes me. She does not seem at all like a woman who would put up with a sham marriage (if that is true). Then again, he doesn’t seem like the type who would put up with a woman—wife, mother, grandmother—derailing his “destiny”.

Hmm. I read in Newsweak that Ubama is gay, so it shouldn’t be any surprise that his wife would have no use for the little poofter.
Their marriage remains a charade. The kids prove no more than McGreevey’s kids did.
