The text editor of the 1991 literary agency booklet that described Barack Obama as “born in Kenya” said Thursday the line in question was “nothing more than a fact checking error.”
Miriam Goderich issued a statement to the Political Wire saying the future president never suggested “in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii”:
“You’re undoubtedly aware of the brouhaha stirred up by Breitbart about the erroneous statement in a client list Acton & Dystel published in 1991 (for circulation within the publishing industry only) that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me — an agency assistant at the time. There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more.”

There are 196 countries in the world. Twenty-one years ago, when Obama was just an unknown Harvard grad, a literary agent mistakes his place of birth as Kenya? Quite a coincidence if you ask me....
Here is the problem with that explanation. This "error" seems to have popped up a LOT over the years. And it is remarkably consistent.
It never says he was born in Indonesia. It never says he was born in Pakistan, it never says he was born in Egypt, Ethiopia or Tanzania. It is always Kenya.
I have lived in Kenya, Tanzania, Japan, Costa Rica and a bunch of other countries. Yet nowhere did anyone ever say I was born anywhere but Ohio USA.
Maybe they have a copy of Obama’s bc.
“Why” is not part of journalism. Who, what, when,where, how. Objective. Example: Colonel Mustard (who) whacked (what) Mrs. Mustard ove(who) over the head (what) with a chair leg (what) yesterday evening (when) in their den (where)causing her to die (what). The How is implied, but the why cannot be objectively known. Maybe she was cheating on him, maybe she caught him cheating. If you want the why, present the facts and let the reader decide.
Just as a previous poster said - you write your own bio. How else would anyone know what to say about you, especially where you were born. Who would care.
Maybe Zer0 has high cheekbones?
Someone needs to ask them why it was changed. Did someone internally finally catch the "error," after more than a decade? Was it someone from outside the agency? If so, who?
I’m starting to think that Ayers connected him with this agent, wrote his bio, and finagled his advance. This is Ayers’ work. He submitted it in 1991 and no one had a “holy sh*t” moment until Obama entered the race in 2007, probably Ayers himself.
After all, Ayers was probably involved in getting him into the Harvard Law Review and through college.

You mean “President Obama, why do you have the SSN of a dead man issued from a state you never lived in?” is not a question a journalist should ask in an article on that very subject?

Given his heavily staged/scripted (teleprompter ready) political performances in the Senate and then in the oval office, it's easy to recognize he would not have gained entry to elite universities like Columbia or Harvard on merit alone, certainly not without the benefit of an exaggerated exotic identity/affirmative action.
Pray tell, what audience could the books be aimed for without the exaggerated exotic identity?
Obama is a fraud, period.
