The New York chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) is asking people to protest Rush Limbaugh's hateful dialogue against women.
Fed up with what the organization calls Rush"isms", on Friday, May 18th, 2012, NOW-NYC is asking women all across the country to join their protest campaigning for WABC to discontinue Limbaugh's radio show.
Rush Limbaugh is a reminder of the characters television producer of the 1970's, Norman Lear, created--bigots who were always too stupid to fear. Not to say that bigots can never be dangerous (Hitler is an example that they can be), but for the most part, they are seldom one in which women should mentally crumble. There are men who enjoy using words to hurt women such as fat, slut, stupid, and the usual words to shame women into silence. That is why NOW-NYC is asking women to never be silent, and make an example out of Rush Limbaugh, showing men that they don't have and never will own the power, intelligence, imagination, or even the physical appearance (most caricatures look a hot mess, like Rush) to hurt women.
The NOW meet will take place at Madison Sq. Garden, 7th Ave & 32nd St., up the stairs to the right near Charles Schwabb.

The time of the meet is right after the NOW demonstration outside of the Saudi embassy and the blocking of the gates at other Arab embassies throughout the city. Overflow attendees may also attend the Muslim Brotherhood’s press conference promoting women’s rights in newly established Arab democracies.

NOW has been calling on folks to boycott Rush for YEARS! I’m sure this latest attempt will be as successful as the previous ones. ;o)
