N.C. TEACHER TELLS STUDENT HE COULD BE ARRESTED FOR TALKING BADLY ABOUT OBAMA
The Blaze ^ | May 20,2012 | Mike Opelka

Last Monday, a high school student in North Carolina engaged his social studies teacher in a heated debate about politics and the two leading presidential candidates. During the exchange, the teacher (an obvious Obama supporter) got very angry with the student and accused him of disrespecting the president. She even went so far as to tell the boy that he could be jailed for speaking ill of Obama.

Sarah Campbell of the Salisbury Post first reported on the story. She claims that the school district is not releasing the name of the teacher and that she is not responding to requests for public comment (although the two students identified her to the newspaper). According to Campbell’s story, the teacher will not be suspended or even face disciplinary action for what was heard on the recording. A statement from the school was released at the end of the week:

“The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom. This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students. Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.” So, how bad was the exchange? It got fairly heated, with the teacher shouting at times. The kerfuffle started after one student asked a question about the teacher’s “fact of the day” that said Romney was a bully back in high school. A student asked:

The next generation is in deep do-do with this educator on the payroll! I give the boy a lot of credit for knowing more about his rights than his teacher.

I see your points. But your children really might consider bringing complaints before the local school boards...for their children, your grandchildren.

Hey y’all, there’s an upside to this one. Go read the transcript at The Blaze. The way the students came back at the teacher reapeatedly with sensible, right on the mark defenses of free speech and showing the teacher’s bias is, amid all the dismal news,
very
encouraging.

The parents of those kids should be proud of them. North Carolinians should be proud of their high schoolers. At least these high schoolers.

The video is on YouTube. Make it go viral.

Exactly, a partial cure is a well selected, high quality private school, but the very best results and student performance comes from home schooling.

There are signs that home schooling is being targeted for elimination by regulatory trickery in the Marxist blue states.

Funny how fast and completely every liberal in America has forgotten, that just a few short years ago:

“Dissent was patriotic”.

This so called teacher is an absolute moron. The young man did very well, under the circumstances.

She sounds familiar... I think I’ve heard her before on some of those vid’s taken of the Walmart stampedes.

Hmmm... is she the “mo free Obama money” lady? Just another bag of Skittles.

If Obama does not win, that’s IF he doesn’t, there will be riots in the streets and they will be historic.

CLINTON HAS WOMAN ARRESTED FOR INSULTING HIM!

"Glenn and Patricia Mendoza were placed under arrest by Chicago police after the Secret Service agents assigned to the President's detail contacted them."

I just grabbed the first article about this.. I don't think that the article mentions the harassment that the Mendozas suffered at the hands of the IRS and DOJ (if I remember correctly.) The Mendozas were NOT the only ones arrested for giving Clinton a hard time during his two terms.

The "teacher" mentioned that many were arrested for giving Bush a hard time. Who? When? How many books, movies, plays, media commentary were there that spoke of the assassination of President Bush?

The claims by the "teacher" remind me of Congressman Major Owens of New York who claimed back in the 1990s that 200,000,000 (yes two hundred million) Africans were thrown overboard from slave ships and to this day sharks follow ships leaving African headed for America.

Just two lies of many lies that give mobs of blacks "justification" for beating/killing whites and give the MSM feel that it is OK to not report those crimes.

The classroom is noisy, the “discussion” is pointless, the young man is vulgar, and the teacher is moronic. Welcome to Public School!

She sounds more like a student in a GED class than a teacher.

As opposed to what? A student in a public school class?

In my experience a fair percentage of GED students would have been above average students any place other than the public schools. I quit school not due to bad grades but because I hated the place, many of my teachers and most of my classmates.

I went on to take my GED and aced it before the graduating class. I even finished in the top 1% of those who took the test that year and only found out because the state was trying to find out why high achievers were dropouts.

I wish we had online schooling back in the 80s. I would have begged for an online private education.

The video at the link shows that this teacher completely LOSES it the second the virtues of her Messiah Obama are questioned. The student points out how Bush was attacked while he was President, and the moron teacher starts screaming about how it wasn’t the same. Unbelievable.

Public school is child abuse.

Any parent that cares about their children should be making arrangements NOW for getting their children out of these so-called 'schools'.

I think they are afraid. Other children have been hurt by complaints of parents. Some kids care is free and parents get to keep the food stamps too. FL just lowered the passing score since too many failed!

I went to a program with no American Flag or Pledge of Allegiance and they begged me not to make trouble.

They know it is wrong and complain to each other but lost jobs and pay reductions make private schools impossible.

I wish I could home school them all!

Yes, 4 of my 6 (total daughters and their husbands) have been out of work, some for 2 years. We all help each other, but all are about 50 years old and are college graduates living in high unemployment areas. Moving is the solution, but they do not see that. YET?
