So, sort of like Perot then?

(Perot was right, but is this really much different?)

The Perots were pro-abortion and award winning supporters of Planned Parenthood in Dallas, also, he was anti-gun, and supported going door to door in Dallas to confiscate them.

I’m trying to remember, but iirc, Perot was limited pro-choice on abortion. I could be wrong about that, though.

Also, the reform party was brand new, a vehicle created by Perot (and then abandoned.)

The Constitution Party is serious about building a legitimate alternative party.

But, the bottom line is in the chart. Only one of those candidates is a conservative.

Well, I don't know that this guy made his money by hiring lobbyists to steer no bid contracts through congress.

That would make him different from Perot (who has a huge lake house ten miles from me.)

Perot was too corrupt and had fed to long and hard on the public trough for me to consider him. Everything I hate about crony capitalism he personally symbolized if you knew his history.

Well that wasn’t the point of my comparison, but on the one issue I was aware of at the time (”the Giant Sucking Sound”) Perot was without question ahead of his time.

And pretty much standing boldly all alone, saying so.

Can’t say one way or the other, if your other statements are accurate as I don’t have any other information to compare them with.

My point was, we had two candidates at the time. Perot siphoned off enough, to in some people’s view, change the results of the election.

May or may not be the case. I was just making an observation...

Sorry, but it simply doesn't matter. My mailman might score higher than either Romney or Obama on your chart, but my mailman has exactly the same chances as Goode, which is zero.

It's going to be either Romney or Obama, end of story.

And it's really sad that no third party has any chance in this so-called democracy. Perhaps if we had run-off elections like they do in France, that would be a step in the right direction.

But then again, it's all about money. And the big boys have all the money.

Perot’s wife was a Planned Parenthood board member.

possible and probable have different meanings.

However, the issue is building a conservative party, a home for rounded conservatives who are both socially and fiscally conservative.

There is essentially zero chance that Goode will be elected President in November.

His odds are something like one in a million against, or worse.

We have a responsibility to both our progeny and our ancestors not to waste time on pipe dreams.

Why, unless you are Mr. Goode himself, do you insist on posting this useless garbage about a failed minor politician who will only take votes away from the one man who can beat Obama?

Reality is a bitch, isn’t it.

...in this so-called democracy.

We live in a republic, not a democracy.

"Democracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure, and every one of these will soon mould itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." -- John Adams, An Essay on Man's Lust for Power, 1763

"A democracy is a volcano which conceals the fiery materials of its own destruction." -- Fisher Ames

"The known propensity of a democracy is to licentiousness, which the...ignorant believe to be liberty." -- Fisher Ames

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." -- Benjamin Franklin

I can waste my vote on any obscure candidate. It will still be a vote for Obama.

It is very important for Romney to have some kind of challenge from the right. He has already floated some serious left-wing trial balloons:

gay adoption
gay couples
abortifacients
partial ObamaCare

He will soon begin talking about “revenue enhancement”, another “blessing” he brought to Massachusetts.

If nothing else you should be telling pollsters you support the CP. Someone needs to make him nervous, and to do so they need a big enough % to make him wonder if they’ll cause him to lose.

It will prevent him sliding too far to the left.

Exactly! And the biggest pipe dream of all is this: I will not vote for Romney in November because I want to send the GOP elite a message.

That's actually hilarious. The GOP elite don't care what we think! McCain's nomination in 2008 provided that. So it's either vote for Romney, then go home and take a pepto bismol. Or do anything else, and let Obama win.
