I don’t know where you get the cross pollination thing

Bees and wind are not restrained by fences. I recall a few years ago reading about farmers whose normal crops had been cross-pollinated by neighboring GMO crops, and who were sued for saving and planting the resulting seed - as farmers have done for millenia.

The sterile seed is a myth. It can reproduce...

They're perjoratively called "terminator seeds" because they don't reproduce.

They do reproduce, that is why they are vigilant against farmers saving the seed.
