High school teacher tells student he can be arrested for criticizing Obama

After criticizing Mitt Romney, a North Carolina high school teacher yelled at a student for asking a question about Barack Obama, telling him that he could be arrested for criticizing Barack Obama.
Sarah Campbell wrote at the Salisbury Post Saturday that the heated exchange began "with a classroom conversation about a recent news story detailing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney allegedly bullying a classmate in prep school. It turns into a heated, sometimes confrontational debate."
“Didn’t Obama bully someone though,” one student asked, referring to an incident in Obama's memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” in which Obama admitted pushing a girl when other students called him her boyfriend.
“Stop, no, because there is no comparison,” the teacher said.
According to the teacher, Romney is “running for president," and therefore does not deserve the same respect as Obama, who "is the president.”
“Listen, let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom,” she said.
She went on to tell the student that he "will not" say what he wants about Obama, and asserted that it was a crime to "slander" the President. The student responded by recalling that many spoke ill of George W. Bush while he was President, and such arrests would violate the Constitutional right to free speech.

That ‘teacher’ is an unqualified intellectual imbecile whose only recourse when confronted with logic is to yell, “No, unh, unh!” as forcefully as she can. My four year old grand daughter is more of an intellectual challenge than she is.

At most, this stupid woman can only screw up the future of a few thousand kids as a teacher. As President, Obama can and has managed to screw up the futures of hundreds of millions of people, if not billions of people, and for generations. He was a far poorer candidate to hire than was even this woman.
Criticizing the communist in our White House may well get you arrested for other “crimes”. I have no doubt that it could get you audited by the IRS too. Note: I get audited every two or three years, and I expect to see them again in the near future. Go ahead Obama - your opponents are honest people, which is why we despise you and why you can’t touch us.
Listening to the youtube piece it is obvious that the kids in her class know that she is a joke. Everyone needs to listen to just how incompetent some of these teachers are. I don’t think she was able to put together one coherent sentence.

Apparently the entire msm along with most of the republican party agrees. What else explains their inability to even timidly go now where they once boldly and routinely went against "Dubya"?
One of the main reasons is that out "Public" schools are little more than indoctrination centers for the progressive bowel movement.
You could see things headed that way in the 60s and 70s, arriving at that station in the 80s, moving in and settling down throughout the 90s and since then the neighborhood turned into the slum we see and avoid today.
It's always been tough being a boy in school, but it must be absolute hell for boys today. That kid is my hero of the day for the rest of May.

A YouTube video uploaded on Monday afternoon apparently shows a schoolteacher from the Rowan-Salisbury school district in North Carolina informing a student that failing to be respectful of President Obama is a criminal offense. Breitbart News has uncovered that the student is a high school junior, and that the teacher is apparently one Tanya Dixon-Neely.
The video shows a classroom discussion about the Washington Post hit piece about Mitt Romney bullying a kid some five decades ago. One student says, “Didn’t Obama bully someone though?” The teacher says: “Not to my knowledge.” The student then cites the fact that Obama, in Dreams from My Father, admits to shoving a little girl. “Stop, no, because there is no comparison,” screams the teacher. Romney is “running for president. Obama is the president.”
The student responds that both are “just men.”
The teacher yells — literally yells — that Obama is “due the respect that every other president is due … Listen,” she continues, “let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.” She yells over the student repeatedly, and yells at him that it’s disrespect for him to even debate about Romney and Obama.

That audio was unbelievable. How can any learning take place in such an undisciplined environment? It did not sound like a class at all. No one showing anyone else courtesy to speak, just a free for all. That teacher is so ignorant. She probably took part in all the Bush hating rhetoric when he was president. But NOW we can’t say anything about Obama that she constues to be disrespectful. Plus trying to spark fear in any dissent with arrest threats. The parents of those kids should raise a stink. And how long will it be before cell phones are banned from classrooms? We might as well be living in Venezuela or Cuba.

So much for free speech. ;-/ While slander is a crime, there is a burden of proof that the someone is making false accusations about the person being slandered. Since hussein himself admits to the incident in a published work, that hardly qualifies as false. Well, then again, given hussein's rather loose association with the truth. (mostly in avoiding it) ... if hussein said it, then it probably didn't happen.
I don't like the talking out of turn and the challenging attitude toward the teacher. Then again, she broke that covenant by showing disrespect to the students by trying to teach her opinion instead of the subject. And unfortunately, it sounds as if she's so dumb, she wouldn't know the difference.

My son and two other students in this class have been attacked daily from this teacher, and the rest of the class, for their conservative political views since the beginning of this semester. I told him to stay out of the political conversations, but she said that if he didn't participate he would receive a bad grade. This teacher is politically ignorant! I teach my sons to respect other people’s political opinion, but she has no right shoving her opinions down his throat! Since this day, I have had to remove him from North Rowan High School and am going to enroll him at RCCC to finish his education. That audio is a damning indictment of what is wrong with public schools these days... just ignore the entire content of what this ignorant teacher is “teaching”, and you have evidence that the teacher and kids are out of control, there is no respect, no classroom management, cursing, screaming, innappropriate laughing, etc. Who could learn in that environment even if what the teacher was teaching was worthwhile??
