Do you work for Rasmussen? You’re not going to change my mind.
I’ve seen the term applied to both.
I admit I like Goode, even know his part of the country. My parents lived in Martinsville until my father’s death. I personally think we have bigger fish to fry this election than to put in a protest vote. We definitely need to send more like Goode to Congress and change the tone in Washington. We also have to realize what is Constitutional and what is left up to the States and the people. We too often become the left of the right in our methods. It won’t work if you want to change peoples minds and hearts.
Nope. I certainly don't. And not necessarily trying to change your mind, just trying to add some clarity to some of the comments.
Won't work, and we'll be destroyed down the ticket. He NEEDS to hit back... HARD
No Conservative would ever vote for obama... but some of us cannot vote for mitt. We will vote down ballot and I have sent money to those deposing the gop/e elites... and I am sending money to Conservative candidates... but you and the gop/e can finance and drag mitt across the finish line... if romney fails... blame the leadership of the gop... for they alone have manufactured our predicament.
We get the same argument every four years. That argument is no longer good enough. If not now, when?
This is it. This is the line in the sand. I will no longer vote against candidates when in fact I have a candidate, like Goode, whom I can vote FOR. Besides, if you're voting for mitt, isn't that in itself nothing more than a protest vote against the fraud? Why not instead vote FOR the candidate who advances those things we are FOR.
We also have to realize what is Constitutional and what is left up to the States and the people.
Forming a political party for Constitutionalists is is a power left to the states and the people ourselves. It is a daunting enterprise, but not an insurmountable one. I tried going along with the GOPe way repeatedly to no avail.
When you try to build a Conservative structure on quicksand repeatedly and see the foundation pulled from underneath, you soon realize that it is better to move to firmer ground and start over. Right now, unless the Tea Party is ready to establish ourselves as a political party, the Constitution Party is the only firm ground around in this swamp.
Of the conservatives that did get into the race, well, we saw what happened. Michelle Bachmann tanked. Cain self-destructed. Santorum failed to inspire and Gingrich, well, let's put it this way, Gingrich did not have the support of conservatives, period. Take Wyoming, probably the most conservative state in the nation, Gingrich got less than 1% of the vote in their caucus. In the Deep South, where Gingrich was supposed to be strongest, with the exception of SC and GA, he fared very poorly. Conservatives just didn't support him.
Ras stated firmly that nothing had changed in the past week and they were holding with the numbers that stated that coakley would win... check the archives... he officially offered no poll that week... but he vocally made the statement above. Having said that... these numbers may be dead on.
“Right now, unless the Tea Party is ready to establish ourselves as a political party”
I thought that TEA stood for taxed enough already. A group that had one goal smaller government. That leaves a lot of areas for disagreement over social issues. I personally will drink the tea and leave the social to the States. Even the TEA party movement is already being perverted to individual motives. Just my opinion as I’m a Strict Constructionist.
Agreed! That's what attracted me to joining the protests initially. I would be more than happy if we could all agree to concentrate on just accomplishing that one thing - smaller government. We can haggle over the rest, but yes, let's take on the 800lb gorilla in the room first.
Welcome to Independence from the progressive republican party overlords!
That's quite an ironic use of the phrase, given that "special sauce" arose from Zogby's botched call for Not-President Kerry's 300+EV victory in 2004 -- the election that Rasmussen nailed.
I know what you mean. It would be better for everyone if the Obama supporting young people just stay home, but I was referring to the polling. They still poll the younger voters.
Don’t kid yourself, Romney has shown he will be a rabid dog. Don’t think because he publicly says “don’t mention wright” that means wright won’t come into play.
Don’t be so naive.
He’s starting a new weekly poll with a much larger sample, available at his site to paying subscribers. He acknowledged that the daily polls are more subject to news cycle swings.
Obama is in serious trouble. He cannot get above 42-47% even though he’s the incumbant; and Romney has just finished a difficult and rather destructive primary campaign; and Romney has not really begun to fight yet.
Wait until the s@#$ hits the fan with the HHS mandate getting wide attention in late June and early July, and old folks get wind of the fact that their medicare benefits will be rationed in order to fund contraceptives for college women (since their boyfriends do not want to pay or them). Funding promiscuity for college and post college women by cutting benefits for the older generation will not go well with the electorate.
Also - since when is it considered to be a benefit for women to turn them into prostitutes? Actually, they might at least get a job with an income if they would charge a fee for services. Maybe that is Obama’s actual goal after all. It would reduce the unemployment stats.
Take your passive-agressive drivel somewhere else. Your lord, Rasmussen, isn’t perfect.
Rasmussen nailed one election 8 years ago. And?
I see Rasmussen has a couple fanatics here on FR. Fortuantely, I’m not one of them.
