Rep. James Clyburn (D., S.C.) described Mitt Romney and Bain Capitals record as one of raping companies in a Tuesday interview with MSNBC.
ANCHOR: But, congressman, what about the counterargument to that? What about the counterargument that these attacks on Bain Capital many see them as an attack on free enterprise as well.
CLYBURN: This is not an attack on free enterprise. I would say to you, [unclear] free enterpriseI dont take contributions from payday lenders. I refuse to do that. Thats free enterprise. but theres something about that enterprise that I have a problem with. And theres something about raping companies and leaving them in debt and setting up Swiss bank accounts and corporate businesses in the Grand Caymans. I have a serious problem with that.
Despite Clyburns remarks, the congressman has previously taken money from private equity giant Blackstone Group. Blackstone announced Tuesday it will buy Motel 6 for $1.9 billion.

I am getting really tired of that 25% of dull, uneducated, ignorant, incompetent "Democratic" members of Congress who not only don't know that they are stupid and ignorant, but also assume that the American electorate as a group are.
You know, those congresscritters with an average IQ of under 80, can't even speak the proper language, and whose grasp of economics hovers between non-existent and deficient?
What makes them think their constituency can understand things any better than they do? What makes them think that the "non-democrat" majority will ever take them seriously?
Ain't egalitarianism great?

The Republicans should print a list of all the Democrats that have received "Wall Street" money (and the amount they received).
And then tell the Democrats to "Shove it."

I dont take contributions from payday lenders. I refuse to do that. Really now... perhaps you can explain the $13,250 you took from Fannie Mae in 2006... along with a lot of other rather questionable donors as well, including the far-left "Podesta Group" in 2012. Lawyers are also big fans of yours throughout your career... to the tune of $757,390.

I dont take contributions from payday lenders. I refuse to do that. Unless of course it's been sanitized first by going thru a lobbyists bank account.
. For example, in the current cycle Clyburn accepted $1,500 from Joyce Rogers, a registered lobbyist for payday lender Cash America International.

At this point in time, it is very hard to defend. With the FB IPO games in the news, defending anything in the world of Finance will be hard.
Still, Romney needs to get in front of this. If he can't or won't defend Bain, attack from another angle.
