If you're sitting in your and someone comes up and starts throwing punches to your head and face, I would say that that qualifies as being in immediate danger of being beat to death. One punch to the temporal lobe can do some serious damage.

Don't get me wrong, if any had shown evidence of a weapon or intent to kill (unless the biting was canabalism, I don't think it counts) -- I'm fully in favor of a kinetic solution to the problem, but I don't think that meets the criteria here. Anyway, I like to have ..... options.

I’ll “avoid” situations where these things happen as much as possible, while being ready at all times. That’s why I live away from the city now and just visit.

Instead of killing them why not export them back to Africa? There used to be the American Colonization Society that was started in 1816 and dissolved in 1964 which raised funds to send Blacks to Africa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Colonization_Society
