An 8-year old girl died in an early evening crash Monday in Ralston. Her two sisters and mother were injured.
Omaha Police say Julia Brown of Papillion was killed when the van she was riding in was struck from behind by a pickup at 72nd and Main Street at 5:40pm.
Emily Brown, 10, and Madeline Brown, 13, and their mother Susan M. Brown, 44, were injured in the crash. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
The Honda minivan was stopped at a traffic light when, according to witnesses, a pickup that had been driving erratically and at a high rate of speed hit them from behind and pushed the vehicle through the intersection.
It had struck another van moments before, according to Omaha Police.
The Omaha driver of the Ford pickup, Rodney D. Watkins, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

OK. Just horrible, there are no words to comfort them. I pray for God’s inner peace to be them.

Prayers for all involved. I suppose God had different plnas for the little 8 year old... and His plans are so much greater than anything we can see at times like these.
Praying for your boss. That has to be very hard to know you caused this accident. Praying God will sustain and give comfort to all who are family and friends of the involved.
