Today at the Tazewell County Court House in Pekin, Illinois, our adoption of our children became final. They are Amber Agee and Nick Agee, ages 13 and 12 respectively.
Amber and Nick are sister and brother and have been in our care for about 4 years and we have been actively pursuing this adoption for the past two years.
Rejoice with us. God is truly wonderful!
Our new children will be reading the comments.
I'm pinging a few hundred of my close friends, if I omitted anyone it was unintentional. If you're pinged more than once, get over it. Just kidding, I'll never make another massive ping like this again.

Excellent Graybeard. Excellent news. This is great, and establishes a permanancy in the children’s minds I would think that they need not fear losing a home, and the love they have become accustomed to once again.

The biggest fear I have is if something happened to my wife and I that our two sons would not be able to stay together. Thank God you have been able to keep these wonderful children together so that they may always know each others love and life.

I always say to my husband that we, as her parents, are the truly lucky ones! And as my daughter says to her sister in times of, shall we say, “disagreement”, she was chosen, we got stuck with the bio one!
