Barack Obama is the smartest man with the highest IQ ever to be elected to the presidency, historian Michael Beschloss told radio talk show host Don Imus in November of 2008.
"So what is his IQ?" Mr. Imus asked. Mr. Beschloss didn't know. He was just assuming.
Many shared that assumption. Adjectives frequently applied to Mr. Obama are "smart" (278 million hits on Google), "intelligent" (62 million) and "brilliant" (24 million).
There is little evidence to support it. Mr. Obama went to Harvard, but so did George W. Bush, who some liberals consider dumber than dirt. The president won't release his transcripts, so we can't judge by his grades. Mr. Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review, but when he was selected, popularity mattered more than scholarship.
Mr. Obama joined an undistinguished law firm, where he tried no cases. So no help there.
Many cite the president's oratorical skills, but he often rambles when he speaks without a teleprompter. That's because his brain "is moving so fast that the mouth can't keep up," wrote Meghan Daum of the Los Angeles Times.
Columnist Joe Klein said Mr. Obama's first autobiography "may be the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician." But Mr. Obama got help writing "Dreams from My Father" from "his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers," celebrity journalist Christopher Andersen claimed in his 2009 biography of Barack and Michelle.
"The book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers' own writing," Mr. Andersen wrote.
Biographer David Maraniss published this month his interview with Genevieve Cook, who dated Mr. Obama in New York, but bears little resemblance to the "New York girlfriend" described in "Dreams." That's because she is a composite, Mr. Obama said.

But I posted only because Obama is the epitome of Forrest’s Mamma’s saying. With both Forrest and Barak, those actually paying attention know they are nowhere near as bright as people perceive them to be.
I always thought a better analogy was with Chaunce, the Gardener.

To defend Obamacare the President used the words, from years ago, of Michael Kinsley and Linda Greenhouse. Kinsley attack judge Scalia’s opinion when he was a Circuit Court of Appeals judge as judicial activism by over ruling, “a major piece of legislation passed by large majorities in both houses of Congress and signed with a flourish by a popular president.”
Greenhouse writing in the New York Times of the Supreme Court’s decision in U.S. v. Lopez wrote that the court “invalidated a law that two houses of Congress and the President of the United states approved,”-as if other laws over-ruled by the Supreme Court were not also laws duly passed in the same way.

Which school someone attended has nothing to do with how smart or dumb they are.
We are born with intelligence, some have more some have less. Intelligence is described as the ability to accept and process information, i.o.w to learn.
Smart is what one becomes by utilizing their native intelligence as described above.
They have to be smarter than we are.
“Nuanced” thinking is required to believe things that are refuted by history and events.
It is a matter of survival for their ideology that liberals massage themselves, because the facts give them no quarter.
According to his own autobiography Obama spent most of his high school years playing basketball, skipping classes and getting high. Not exactly a good start to being a top student in college.
IIRC Romney went to The Harvard School of Business in puruit of an MBA and Harvard Law, at the same time.
I suppose that if your own IQ is 75, then a 90 would seem to be pretty dern smart...
He gets a high score for communist treachery.
Everything else.. he’s as smart as a brick.
Folks that think Obama is really intelligent, are not that smart themselves, as they would not say such a thing without any evidence. And, these are the same folks who think conservatives and Christians are not smart or interested in science.

Ayers has admitted that he is the author of Zero’s “autobiography.”
I R Smart since I R liberal.
That’s about as far as their logic goes.
For many of them, being “in the smart club” is the whole reason for being “liberal”.
