When Mitt Romney came to an inner-city charter school here Thursday to promote his new education agenda, he received something of a history lecture about the persecution of blacks in America and the struggles of African American children to meet the academic achievements of their white counterparts.
Seeking to broaden his appeal heading into the general election, Romney was venturing for his first time in this campaign into an impoverished black neighborhood to hear the concerns of local educators and community leaders. But here in the streets of West Philadelphia, the emotion surrounding his contest with the nation’s first black president was raw, as dozens of neighborhood residents shouted, “Get out, Romney, get out!”

Outside, meanwhile, some brick row houses across from the school were boarded up. Police had cordoned off a full city block to protect Romney and his entourage. Residents, some of them organized by Obama’s campaign, stood on their porches and gathered at a sidewalk corner to shout angrily at Romney. Some held signs saying, “We are the 99%.” One man’s placard trumpeted an often-referenced Romney gaffe: “I am not concerned about the very poor.”
Madaline G. Dunn, 78, who said she has lived here for 50 years and volunteers at the school, said she is “personally offended” that Romney would visit her neighborhood.
“It’s not appreciated here,” she said. “It is absolutely denigrating for him to come in here and speak his garbage.”

When he visited a classroom where the kids in the elementary school choir were standing, swaying and clapping to the beat of Kirk Franklin’s “I Smile,” Romney appeared charmed but did not dance with them. Rather, he tapped one of his toes slightly and bobbed his head, but did not catch the rhythm..

This poor old lady has volunteered at that school for 50 years and Johnson, Carter, Clinton, and Obama have realy made their mark on that school. Imagine a white guy suggesting a voucher program to move those kids to better schools....thats just offensive.

It is proof Obama is separating races and pitting groups against each other...additionally, our side, including Romney, are too chicken to point out how the so-called black leaders have kept blacks (inner city) from knowing the truth of how capitalism lifts all boats, instead, we try to pander and appease and get painted as nasty conservatives by the MSM...out side really is too chicken and it is disgusting how candidate after candidate never explains or even tries.
Lets just hope Mitt doesn’t try this trick in Detroit. After all Obama saved the American car industry, GM will never pay us back with its stock at $22.44/share and Italy owning Chrysler. Between the crime ridden streets and the Union thugs it could get ugly! These Phili thugs are light weights compared to the city that once had the highest per capital income in America to the war on poverty zone it is today. Make the UAW drive the remaining exploding volts.
Well, he might just have to have a little “ancillary help” if he personally won’t do it himself. Video cameras are plentiful and the opportunities will be many!

Bush never would talk about the issue nor would he even acknowledge the ads, but I'm sure they played a key role in dragging him over the finish line anyway.

You know when they all start acting like Travon, or like their president they will forever be shackeled to their inner city all neighborhoods of just one color. And as they move into neighborhoods where they add that color, it is only one elementary school education generation before that neighborhood is too just a neighborhood of color, crime and hatred of everything not rotting or boarded up. It is too sad that when a neighborhood is taken over by this demographic that crime is rampant, breakins, and thefts, people too lazy to cut the lawns or trim the bushes/trees but always on the cutting edge of the latest hiphop ganster culture. Color me anyway you want but know I’ve moved three times in my life as one of the last nonpersons of color in a neighborhood and it is always the same racial hatred brought by this color people.
That’s really what we want in a president. Obama is so “cool” isn’t he? He does have a little rhythm but NOT a singer. So, what about his accomplishments? Solyndra, GM, solar energy, 5 trillion in new debt, endless golf, endless campaign speeches at taxpayer expense, veto of the Keystone pipeline that would have added 100k jobs, unelected czars who no one knows what they do but they get paid very well “socializing” America. So Romney, stay out of Philly. It will be the next Detroit. You don’t want any associations with failure like that. They are close minded and have made up their minds that they want that ignorant black man who has faked his BC and SS# and no one knows his past because its all been scrubbed so we can’t find out. I would imagine he was actually born in Kenya since he touted that in some college paper. I think his college records were scrubbed because he got his education as a foreign student and now he is a natural born citizen! Does anybody care that we have been scammed and it happens to be the president of the US? IMPEACH HIM NOW.

Now the republicans are not without shame as well. If I were Mr Romney I would go into places like Philly armed with Allen West, Tim Scott C.L. Bryant and David Webb to make a case for how being educated and practicing self denial would get you a lot further in life then being a brood mare or poverty pimp. You see I think the message of conservatism works but it has to be explained and the true unwhitewashed version of how democrats have continue to treat black people like slaves has not changed since slavery. No other group in America votes and agrees on 97% of anything.
Yeah, what are you trying to do, get yourself killed...then where would we be?.......
