I agree. I called him Mick Pomney.
But unfortunately perception is reality (democrats still say Bush was a conservative and fools believe it) and he was FR’s favorite candidate for some reason. He was better liked here even than Gingrich.
I think both are closer to Mitt than my idea of a conservative leader but both presented themselves as and were perceived as being appreciably to the right of Romney.
