Dan Liljenquists campaign has stated that he would never label himself a Tea Party candidate, and now we see why.

Hatch wants to break Reed Smoot’s record of service in Utah (30 years in the Senate).
Hell, that's one of the justifications for the Willard apologists on this board.

Hatch needs to go.
Hatch has been in office too long and needs to go.
Hatch will never be gone until he gets beaten in an election!

That was the argument used by the "conservatives" who endorsed Arlen Specter for re-election in 2004 "after this term, he'll retire anyway!". Nope, Specter ran for re-election in 2010 when he was pushing 80. Daniel Inouye just announced he's running for re-election to ANOTHER 6 year term in 2014, when he'll be in his 90s. These Senators won't leave until they'll defeated or carried out feet first.

I confess I don't understand your argument either.
Oops. sorry about triple post.
What a crock. If the video ran on my computer like it did on yours, Dan L, was responding to the question itself, referring to the 3 to 1 ratio of cuts to $1 of revenue. He was saying that if entitlements are ever addressed and the 3 to 1 is effected, then yes, he thought EVERYBODY would be agreeable. Not one word did he utter about working with Democrats.
There are going to be taxes raised but not until there are attributable cuts to the deficit, in some proportion suitable to the socialist Republican Party.
What a misinformation expenditure THAT was. Who in the heck sponsored such a contortion? The Tea Party supports him there and they are not the taxation without representation crowd exactly.
Jedi said what? Your link wasn’t live. Did he say who was bought by Romney money????
Sorry, techno challenged. Copy & paste? I live in NV and watched this primary closely because I work for attys with STRONG ties to Utah. Disclaimer: I’m not LDS. Lily does not “pass” the smell test. I’m not convinced this guy is a conservative or a TEA party guy. I think he’s a “rubber-stamp” R-money guy, “bought & piad” for by R-money. Follow the money. Palin & Levin may be right about by endorsing Hatch. I don’t want a “rubber-stamp R-money” guy whose “fresh” on the scene & we’re stuck for who knows how lon with a “rubber stamp” R-money guy.
In the video they pronounced it Lillianquist. Frankly with unusual names like that I’m lazy, I don’t even think of how they are really pronounced until I hear it. I actually think it’s a pretty cool name, at least it’s not boring.
But he is not a very cool guy.
I’m will go a bit further than Billyboy, I’m not so sure now who I want to win. But I still don’t think anyone should actually endorse Hatch. I make no endorsement, I’m glad I don’t live in Utah and actually have to pick.
Forgot considering a tax hike, the mere fact that he used the democrat’s weasel term “revenue enchantment” is a sign that he is a jerk. And that he said “everyone” would go along with the tax hike, what a fool. I’d like to introduce him to George HW Bush, when GOPers hike taxes they enrage the largest group of single issue voters that they have (or at least it’s a tie with Pro-life). Most of us conservatives believe that they do not need another penny, period. Cut spending FOR REAL. Cut everything you can before you dare ask for more, people are struggling to make a living you bastards.
Bottom line though we have no need to argue about it because It doesn’t matter anyway, I don’t think he would win even if Palin had backed him. Good for him for running, no one else did but he was always a weak challenger and Hatch isn’t a tomato can like Bennett, we needed a heavy hitter to beat him. This is a death knell for his campaign. He’s allowed Hatch to be to his right on something. Like Newt going after the Bain Capital thing, huge mistake. Hatch will win comfortably and get to be President Pro Tem.

Anyone who is a “Romney Republican” is a Keynesian anyway...
