In the end, reality always wins. It is a harsh mistress. You can deny it, rationalize it, equivocate it, blame it on someone else, or just plain say you don’t like it, but in the end, it ALWAYS wins. The laws of economics are immutable
and likewise, always win. As someone once said, “No one’s ever found a way of abolishing the laws of supply and demand.” They are the same today as they were during the Age of Pericles.
A mentally ill person is someone who has an adversarial relationship with reality. So, too, with society. The world thinks it can borrow and spend its way to prosperity, when in fact, it can only produce its way to prosperity. If the world ever recognizes this reality, it will heal. If not, it will go on as it is. Either way, reality will win.
Guess that special Federal pension for journalists isn’t going to be happening any time soon, so they might need to start reporting the truth instead of hoping the Chief is going to pat them on the heads for their loyalty. :)
I used to know one jobless number. She did well for herself, though.
“It must be Geroge Ws fault!:
In Obama’s Manifesto....it was George Washinton’s fault.
Several things on the unemployment figures. First, the Bureau of Lies and Statistics (BLS) has super computers and statisticians that can predict actual unemployment and employment figures down to the 1,000th of a percent and tell you how many are part-time, temporary and full time. Second, most of the jobs created Mar - May were part-time and temporary positions. Think summer theme parts, water parks, or other recreational businesses. These are typically high school or college summer positions. A good verification of this fact is, as another pundit demonstrated, to look at the Treasury Dept. web site with tax revenue figures. Part-time and temporary position generate less revenue. The fact that the BLS went back and adjusted the March and April employment figures is criminal. With all the computer assets and the “highly paid government statisticians”, there March and April reports were criminally bogus. Additionally, UNEXPECTED!
P.S. Would any viable business keep employees, such as those employed by the Bureau of Lies and Statistics, with a records of being “expectedly” wrong 100% of the time?
Banks are about to lose ratings
April and March Unemployed numbers lowered
I’m surprised that the American media cheer-leading teams for Obama and his Democrats are shocked by the latest unemployment figures. All these idiots had to do is look at the shrinkage that has occurred in their own industry, both print and broadcast, to see reality. Welcome to Earth media idiots!
“Wonder what the 69,000 will be adjusted downward to in the coming months.”
