Gov. Rick Perry is once again slamming “out-of-state interest groups” backing former solicitor general Ted Cruz in his runoff with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst –this time tweaking Sarah Palin, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint and Rick Santorum by suggesting their states could learn a lot from Texas, but Texas doesn’t need their advice on choosing its next U.S. senator.
Perry, standing staunchly behind Dewhurst, brushed off the question about whether his own tea party credibility may be damaged by his opposition to Cruz, who has been endorsed by national conservative and tea party groups and figures (including Palin, DeMint and Santorum) in the runoff for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate.

Without naming Palin, DeMint or Santorum, Perry called them to mind by naming their states: “I appreciate everybody paying attention to Texas – as well they should, they could learn some things on how to run South Carolina and Pennsylvania and Alaska.
“Come to Texas and learn how to do it right, but don’t come down here and tell us who needs to be our next United States senator, thank you very much. We’ll decide that without your outside, Washington, D.C.-oriented help,” Perry said.

Hey Perry,
I guess it’s alright for all the GOPe money flowing in from Washington. In addition, the next senator from the state of Texas will affect me here in Tennessee and conservatives across the nation with their votes.
Thank God for conservative outside groups.
They counterbalance the astroturffers from DC!!!!
My advice to you Perry is get used to it.

will affect me here in Tennessee and conservatives nationwide with their votes.
So, millions of conservatives across the nation have an interest in who your next senator will be.

Well When Ted Cruz wins yall can thank Texans and stop patting yourselves on the back.
Perry is a RINO through and through (His compelling life story not withstanding).

Exactly! Conservatives everywhere should be highly interested in seating a supermajority of conservative Senators, and that means that we should think nationally when ALL congressional Senate races are being decided.
Perry's failure to capture the nomination is mostly self-made. Most of us gave him plenty of fair chances. He can not be taking it out on ‘outsiders’.
I hope Gov. Perry come off the encounter relatively unstung.
Exactly. Yet somehow that salient fact has escaped the mind of the man named Perry.
If I were Rick Perry, I would do three things:
First, support Cruz.
Second, not criticize Palin.
And third is...I would...ummmm...the third thing...is...ummmm...
Perry sure didn’t mind when Sarah Palin came in from out of state to campaign with him in Cypress when it was his sorry butt on the line:
And neither Perry nor RINO Dewhurst seem to mind having help from out of state from Mike Huckabee.
Hypocrisy: Perry, Dewhurst and Bumblestumbler are full of it.
Maybe you should direct some of your anger at Craig James.
He was running against Cruz and now has endorsed Dewhurst.

Rick Perry can go back to being a registered Democrat. That party forgives ANY offense as long as you sport a (D) after your name.
Perry is the Gov and Dewhurst is the Lt Gov.

If Rick wasn’t interested in outsiders, he would not have offered in state tuition for illegals.

I had numerous robocalls from Mike Huckabee in support of Dewhurst. Did he move to Texas and I missed it?
