You do know you don't have to go to a bail-bondsman to make a deal, right?

You can, if you have assets, bond yourself...

And you don't lose the 10%.

I'd rather see people support him so he can bond himself out.

It appears as though the judgey wudgey pulled this prank to pull Barry’s chestnuts out of the fire for the weekend. The jobs report really sucked and Barry needed some relief.

The prosecutor and the media are angry that he has a defense fund.

I have found that getting angry about reality is pretty futile.

Welcome to the real world.for the lawyers and others.

AFAIK, “bail” is the amount that has to be posted with the court. “Bond”, or “bail bond” is the non-refundable fee you pay to a bail bondsman, in return for the bondsman posting your bail.

hands”If he and his wife lied to the court, he deserves to have his bail revoked”

When one is deprived of their rights by a court then the court is illegitimate. Even when the court has the media, other political thugs, and Bozos like you backing it up. You had better lock up the liars now because soon their passivity will cease. That said.. I rejoice at the injustice being visited upon this lefty.”

Well spoken, thanks so much.

George Zimmerman was tried and convicted the minute Al and Jesse heard about the shooting.

Our legal system is being derailed by threats of Lynch mob violence.

George needs our support, this could be any one of us.

I don't believe he lied, the money came in so fast, almost overnight, he lost track of it.

He is also scared to death, like anyone with a Lynch mob clamoring for blood on his trail.

I don't believe he is plotting anything sinister, he is just running scared.

This is a shameful indictment of what America is becoming.

If in fact Zimmerman did not declare nor hand in the second passport (Peruvian, most likely), then the courts can not look kindly onto that fact alone

No. It's a genuine US Passport, in fact Zimmerman's real US Passport.

Back story: His original passport was issued in 2002. In 2004 he reported it strayed, and was issued a replacement.

Sometime later, the original came out of hiding, a fact George was aware of.

Jailhouse call between George and wife 17 April
Z: Do you know what? I think my passport is in that bag.
Z's Wife: I have one for you in saftey deposit box...
Z: OK, you hold onto that
The bag (which he packed prior to turning himself in) passport was the 2002 original, as is clear from O'Mara's statement to the court on April 20
O'Mara: This is my client's current passport, the only passport that he has. It does expire May of 2012, but I did want to acknowledge it and surrender it to the court at this time.
This would look a slamdunk against George, except his lawyer has thrown himself on the grenade and declared that he know about said passport, prepared a letter informing the court, and prepared to hand it over, then forgot.

Whatever the judge thinks of that story, he can't really pursue it without sanctioning the lawyer and depriving George of his counsel, a complication this case does not need at this time.

What a waste of Florida time, money, and resourses! The man is out on bail. Why do this just to satisfy the screamers? We know and they know that in the end, no jury will ever convict this guy. So they are just messing with him in doing this.

I’m wondering if the judge did this because of the new info or if the bondsman dropped the bond after hearing the new info. I can see the bondsman getting a little antsy knowing he had a large amount of cash and another passport.

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Tulsa, Oklahoma just a month or so ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition. He DIED a few weeks ago.

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

WHERE ARE THE CHARGES OF A RACIAL HATE CRIME??

90 year old husband’s jaw broken and shot in face with a BB gun numerous times?

85 wife year old semi blind wife RAPED and BEATEN to death??

Why does it take a foreign press to enlighten America as to this henious crime?

WHERE IS THE NATIONAL OUTRAGE?

Have they caught the rest of the gang of feral blacks who raped, tortured and murdered this elderly woman and her husband? Are they even looking? Not a word about it in the media.

Given the lynching of Zimmerman; Corey’s distortions in the charging document and the media’s hype and downright lies “reporting” the incident, as well as the race-baiting hucksters wanting Zimmerman dead THEN tried, I will withhold my opinion as I don’t believe them.

> We know and they know that in the end, no jury will ever convict this guy.

I hope you’re right but am not that confident. I doubt that reasonable and fair persons will make it onto the jury, and with the pressure being put upon jury members to come up with a guilty verdict — and actual risk of retaliation if they don’t — I think a guilty verdict is possible. This is like the Simpson murder trial, but with the pressure being for conviction.

Zimmerman’s best hope is that some of that pressure will go away before the trial. I’ve seen some progress, but not much. Information about his injuries may have helped some. I doubt if that’s enough, though, to get through to the racists and idiots.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ll send him some more.

I will send him more for living expenses, and feel good about it. Living in hiding is very expensive.

Sending him legal expenses is a fool's errand. The state will pay some of his legal expenses, and anything left over should be paid out of the contingency fees on the civil suits he will win. Just the damages against NBC for the false and misleading edit of the police tape will cover a lot.

I agree. I don’t believe he’s guilty of murder. He needs to just be honest and truth will prevail.

Wouldn't the replacement passport have the same expiration date? Some countries won't let you enter unless there is a certain length of time before the expiration date (like six months).

Leftists believe that the judicial system should be subject to politics. That's true in totalitarian regimes like Nazi Germany and the Communist countries. This is supposed to be a show trial, like those held in the USSR in the 1930s or in the satellite countries after 1945. The target is not Zimmerman although he has been chosen to be the sacrificial lamb--the target is the American people and particularly those who believe in the rule of law.

Capt. Zimmerman did not lie to the court.

The judge said Mr. Zimmerman had the responsibility to stop his wife, who testified at the hearing, from making false statements.

"Mr. Zimmerman can't sit back like a potted palm and let his wife testify falsely before the court when he knew well in advance of the hearing the amounts of money in controversy," said Judge Lester. "He can't sit back and obtain the benefit of a lower bond based upon those material falsehoods."

Under Florida's Rules of Criminal Procedure, a judge has discretion to revoke a defendant's bail if he finds there's good cause to do so. Lying to a court about one's finances apparently fits the bill.

Watch here.
