Poll: Obama-Romney race tied; Obama supporters more energized (CNN to 0bama's rescue! 52% approval)

Washington (CNN) - The race for the White House remains very close, according to a new national poll, partly because neither President Barack Obama nor Republican challenger Mitt Romney have a clear advantage on issue number one - the economy.

A CNN/ORC International survey released Friday also indicates that Obama supporters are more energized right now than those backing Romney.

According to the poll, 49% of registered voters say that if the November election were held today, they would vote for Obama, while 46% say they would cast a ballot for Romney, the unofficial GOP presidential nominee. The president's three point margin is within the survey's sampling error. Obama had a nine point advantage in CNN's last national poll, which was conducted in early April.

The president's approval rating continues to hover around the 50% mark. Fifty-two percent give Obama thumbs up on the job he's doing in the White House, with 47% saying they disapprove of how he's handling his duties.

The survey also indicates Americans are divided in the battle for Congress, with 48% saying they would back the Democratic candidate in their congressional district and 45% saying they would support the GOP candidate.

This CNN poll has all of the credibility and validity of a... CNN poll.

Fifty-two percent give Obama thumbs up on the job he's doing in the White House

What job would that be? Ruining the economy? Lobbying for gay marriage and sex-selective abortion? Defending voter fraud?

“In the battle for crucial independent voters, the poll indicates Romney holds a 51%-39% advantage.”

If this part of the poll is true combined with their obvious oversampling of Rats it means Romney is going to win by at least 12 points.

THAT BY CHEATING.

Mr. RomneyCARE is a DNC poser supported by

Screw Zero and screw Willard. I don’t vote for Socialist con-men and frauds. Ya dig ?

Good on you. Do what's best for you, what makes you feel better and be sure to repeatedly tell everybody, because, after all this election is indeed all about you.

Bad on me for even getting on these threads anymore. I dig!

Even their skewed, ‘registered voters’ polling shows Barry losing 6 points of support in less than two months.

15. Which of the following statements best describes your view of the economy: It will only get better
if Barack Obama is re-elected President, It will only get better if Mitt Romney is elected President,
It will get better if either Obama or Romney is elected or It will not get better if either Obama or
Romney is elected.
May 29-31
2012
Will get better if Obama is re-elected 28%
Will get better if Romney is elected 31%
Will get better if either Obama or Romney is elected 19%
Will not get better if either Obama or Romney is elected 21%
No opinion 2%

Does CNN have enough viewers to be counted as a News outlet?

“Registered voters”...at least they claim they’ve registered. This is a very poor sample.

Good points but don’t waste your time. Some people are having too much fun being contrarians and don’t want to hear that they are supporting the marxist kenyan in the white house.

1) The dim party is totally unified... they are all hard leftists and those that are not... are fleeing that party. The news has several lifelong dims switching to republican in the last week.

2) The gop/e has destroyed unity within our party. The gop/e hate 40% of the party which are what they deem... HARDCORE RIGHT WING NUT CASES.

Some of you that are going to vote for romney are not enthused for romney. You may vote for him but most of you know who and what you are voting for... the lesser of two evils. Some of you that believe romney are discounting polls like this. When the republican party has lost my vote for their candidate... things are about as bad for our party as they can get.

Have any of you been paying attention the the gop/e leadership. They say romney's no taxes pledge is just a negotiating ploy. Levin played audio clips of the likes of graham, issakson, cornyn, mcconnell and others in leadership positions stating that they are ready to “RAISE REVENUE ENHANCEMENTS ALONG WITH CUTTING SPENDING. THEY REFERENCE A 3:1 RATIO OF TAX INCREASES TO SPENDING CUTS. tipp o’neill gave Reagan that same deal... and as it has been with every deal like this that was ever made in our entire HISTORY... it was nothing by a lie from a government of liars... seated in the city of lies!

What nonsense.

This election isn’t going to be close. Not sure of internals but don’t need to be. Registered vs Likely alone shows you this is a prop up piece.

Obama is under 50% in Cali but CNN claims he’s 52% nationally???

BS.

Obama at most will pull 42-43% on election day.

There should be a new poll. How many people are tired of hearing Obama’s voice and seeing his lying eyes on t.v.?

Time to dump the lying Socialist fraud Willard and replace him with a REAL Conservative like Gov. Scott Walker.

Post of the day! Thanks fmj.

BUT we need Walker here in Wisconsin for now ie we won’t share him.
