Police in Aurora, Colo., searching for suspected bank robbers stopped every car at an intersection, handcuffed all the adults and searched the cars, one of which they believed was carrying the suspect.
Police said they had received what they called a reliable tip that the culprit in an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo bank committed earlier was stopped at the red light.
We didnt have a description, didnt know race or gender or anything, so a split-second decision was made to stop all the cars at that intersection, and search for the armed robber, Aurora police Officer Frank Fania told ABC News.
Officers barricaded the area, halting 19 cars.

Sieg Heil - Our heroes strike again. You wan them to go home to their families at night don’t you? I’m sure that those people did something to deserve this. (do I really need the < sarcasm>
The lawyers can afford younger mistresses and older whiskey now.
In a sane world, the Aurora police department would be holding bake sales to buy gas for their cruisers after a stunt like this.
No profiling of any kind occurred. That's the important thing.
Abundance of Laws = Absence of Justice
There is now no level that the police will not stoop. If you do not believe that, ask the poor guy in Stockton they beat to death just for kicks.
Why are local cops enforcing Federal crimes? Immigration laws are Federal, and they must not enforce them. Just tell the goobermint come take care of it.
Let me get this right.... you suggest just going along with stupid cops wiping their rearend with the Constitution, just to not make waves?

Where did you get that from my response??? please have the decency to quote me when you respond to me, unless you are responding to someone else, then quote them. Thanks.
and today, they should not have jobs.
Perhaps a tracking device in the loot?
Not enough tracking resolution to the exact car, but good enough to get to the intersection...
Sez Officer Einstein. What did they expect to find? A guy wearing a black and white horizontal stripped shirt and a black mask?
Would you give up 10 minutes of freedom in order to get this guy off the street?
Yes, but nailing them to crosses worked.
They may not be military but there is an prevalent Us-cops vs. citizens train if thought which is strong and getting stronger.
I know too many officers who have this mentality. As per example a friend of mine went through a roadblock and her tags were expired. One officer a new one wanted to write her up. The other officer said, go ahead but it will be taken care of before you get back to the station. Her husband is one of us. No ticket and she had the tags corrected by the end of the day.
I have relatives who are officers active and retired, same thing, us vs. citizens, although the retired relatives are not as stringent in taking the us vs. citizen attitude.
It’s really hurting the average Joe’s view of police as their friend and not to be trusted. From what I am hearing no one wants anything to do with the police good or bad unless absolutely necessary and not then even, they just want to be left alone.
Those citizens in denver should have asked for warrants as the police had no probably cause to pull over every single citizen and handcuff them. That was nothing more than a round up of any poor soul who happened to be in the area and then them having to produce their papers please, be handcuffed and then have to allow a search of their vehicle to prove their innocence.
It is about dignity.
You simply do not shackle innocent people in a real free society. Of course that passed us by long ago.
Never consent to a search. NEVER. Learn phrases like: “Am Under arrest?” “Am I free to go?” “Do you have any reasonable suspicion or probably cause?”
In this situation, it is proper to “detain” people for 20-30 minutes. No cuffs, and if anyone flees that may be probably cause for arrest.
No searches without a warrant.
Take snapshots of a couple dozen people and text them to the bank witnesses for ID. That shouldn’t take 20 minutes.
sorry jack - that doesnt float
