Boy Scouts review controversial anti-gay policy
MSNBC ^ | June 7, 2012 | Miranda Leitsinger

The Boy Scouts of America is considering a resolution that calls for ending a 102-year-old policy they’ve grappled with in recent years: banning gay scouts and scout leaders, gay advocates told msnbc.com on Wednesday. Though the organization said it would review the proposal, a spokesman insisted there were no plans to change the policy.

The new policy would throw out the national ban and allow local chartering organizations to decide whether or not they would accept gay youth and leaders, said Zach Wahls, an Eagle Scout who has advocated for the change, citing unidentified people who attended the group's national annual meeting last week where the proposal was made.

Of course, the perverts don't actually support the organizations that they subvert; they just want to steal the moral and social authority that they percieve in them.

Witness the death throes of the Episcopal Church for evidence. Many liberal clergy inherited churches with no remaining congregants. Many of those churches have been sold off whle the priest and a few like-minded souls meet in a coffee shop once a month to celbrate the "multifarous victorious overcoming grace of God" or whatnot over cappucinos and granola crunch muffins.

I pray for better for the BSA.

Sorry, but yes.

The choice as to who should or should not be allowed to be a Scoutmaster should rest with the parents of the kids in the troop.

This sodomite attempt to destroy all morals in this country will never end as long as God-less democrats, let by the muslim Obama, continue to call the shots. If Obama is reelected, I guarantee you he will get on national TV and tell the world that sodomites have the right to get married and he is strongarming a bill through Congress to have DOMA overruled and that states have no right deciding who can and can not get married. Churches all over the country will be mandated to perform sodomite “marriages”, under threat of having the church closed down. The will also tell the Boy Scouts of any other organization they can not “discriminate” action a minority and that sodomites are in the same class as women and blacks, which is absolutely BS because you have no say so about what sex you are born or the color of your skin. There is no such thing as a sodomite gene, and it a learned trait. Elect Obama and this garbage will absolutely never end.

If I had a little boy or older boy who was in the Boy Scouts I would not want him around a sexual deviant.

This is a media story, not a real story. Somebody got names on a petition so this came through channels at the 2012 National Annual Meeting (5/30-6/1) in Kissimmee, Florida.

You can also go to the petition page at whitehouse.gov and create a petition that President Obama personally discuss raping every registered female Republican. I don't know that the media is going to run a story saying "White House considers raping all female Republicans" though.

If the LDS pulled out (and they would), the scouts would be gutted.

Where in the world would you get that idea?

Yup, that is exactly what happened, kidd.

Some story in this vein has run just before or concurrent with each National Annual Meeting of the BSA for more than a decade.

Interesting, Scoutmaster. This is the first headline of its kind I’ve ever seen, though of course I knew that the homosexuals have been pestering the BSA for decades. Looks like one of their annual “petitions” finally got the press they’ve been hoping for.

In any case, I am relieved to hear that the BSA has no plans to change its policy.

Beacuse of the size of the LDS contribution to the BSA. I knew a fellow who acted as a liason between the LDS and BSA. He tossed out some astounding numbers about the number of LDS scouts there are and the size of the LDS financial contributions.

No, I don't recall the figures. It was years ago and I was only faintly interested in the conversation at the time. If it isn't true that the LDS is a major force in the BSA, well, I'm sorry for misleading.

What’s astounding is the fact the LDS books are “cooked”.

They register every church member of Scouting age, regardless of activity or participation in the church or Scouting.

Yes, they do pay the registration $ to BSA, and this is where their influence comes to bear.

But the real numbers (active Scouts) outside of Utah and other heavily Mormon areas are probably closer to 1/3 of the registered numbers.

"Controversial?"

A decade ago, this was a completely normal and sane policy to have.

Controversial would be LETTING homos overrun the BSA.

My local paper wrote that the organization had no plans to change the policy any time soon.

It's always about the inevitability of the conquest by perversion with these media creeps.

Faggots molest boys.

No faggots in the Boy Scouts!

Good Lord, this should be obvious.

The Heritage Scouts were formed because the ideology of the leadership of the GSUSA was repellent to many families. There has never been a need, so far, for an alternative to the BSA. The Boy Scouts of America have been, and continue to be, physically strong, mentally alert, and morally straight.

The new policy would throw out the national ban and allow local chartering organizations to decide whether or not they would accept gay youth and leaders, said Zach Wahls

No it will allow for the full force of the media, mobs, and lobbing groups to intimidate local groups not prepared for this. Which is what the liberals want.

They will be there. It’s matter of whether you know it.

Two-deep leadership is the key to success.

They will be there.

Sure ... same as the military. Or the priesthood. Or schoolteachers. Or football coaches. Or ...

That doesn't mean you should deliberately, willfully let them in, nor should you let them publicly parade their perversion in front of everybody.

Two-deep leadership is the key to success.

It sure helps. It works better if you don't let the organization get flooded with queers. "Two deep" does no good if they're both child-molesting sodomites.

Scoutmaster, jboot, is absolutely correct. Growing up (In Las Vegas), my family was very into scouting. Several of us were Eagles. The troop that all of my family attended (that did attend) was affiliated with a United Methodist church (well, 2 different ones, as the troop eventually split).

One of my uncles was in a high leadership position within the scouting program, and I also knew several “Latter-day Saints” in leadership positions. When the “homosexuals in scouting issues” came up in the late 1990’s/early 2000’s, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints nearly cut it’s ties with the BSA. They began a program known as “Duty to God” (IIRC) which had many different goal to work towards (similar to BSA ranks/badges). It was being designed to correspond to an “Eagle rank” (for BSA), and there was to be no more encouragement to join BSA or affiliation with them. The BSA completely dropped any involvement in what we often term “The homosexual agenda.”

I heard at the time some figures too, but no longer recall them, but if I recall correctly the amount of funds from the BSA by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the time was something like 1/3 or 1/2 (sizable is all I remember for sure). The “Duty to God” program remains, and is now somewhat supplemental to the BSA program. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also has drives often to donate through “Friends of Scouting.”

If the BSA was to ever to take up the homosexual agenda, they would rapidly hemorrhage scouts and funding. You can bank on that.
