Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)- On June 3rd, Jesse Jackson held a pre-recall election rally for a small gathering of people in Racine, WI. And although he spent some time leading the attendees in the mantra, June five, we vote, to revive, our democracy, his central point was a silly and unrelated contention that gun control creates jobs.
Seriously: he told the people who attended the rally to mark their calendars for the recall vote on June 5th and for a march on gun stores on June 16th. His mantra for the march on gun stores lacked the cadence of his mantra for the recall vote: June 16th we march, guns out, jobs in.
He explained his march on gun stores thus: We are fighting a war to protect democracy from insurgents, and the first thing you do is to stop the gun trail, thats bringing the guns to kill the people.
Here are the facts, and Jackson knows these as well as I do criminals dont buy their guns from gun stores, because you have undergo a background check (via the federal government) to buy a gun in a gun store. Criminals by their guns on the streets: guns from which the serial numbers were long ago removed or which were stolen during a home invasion or out of a car in a parking lot or
This is just one more publicity stunt that a faltering President Obama doesnt need. After all, he is trailing Gov. Romney in many swing states and is also trailing nationally in some respected polls, and this is largely because the Romney camp has successfully cast Obama as a leftist ideologue. And theres no better way to look like a leftist ideologue than to have one of your more vocal surrogates, Rev. Jackson, bus in people to march on gun shops around the country on June 16th.
What will he march on next? Wal-Marts and Cracker Barrels?

The list is endless, when only criminals are ‘permitted’ to carry guns....
Gun control creates jobs in a police state.
I guess Jesse wants gun control, so everybody goes out and
buys “O.J. Specials”, thus supporting knife maker jobs.
Sure does, Jesse, grave diggers and caretakers for the disarmed who used to be called producers and taxpayers.
What sort of jobs: ATF? Fast and Furious Members? Cops collecting guns? What, JJ?
Yeah, that's the ticket!
Jesse doesn’t want the bruthas to get shot.
Someone needs to start asking Jackson why no outrage from him about all the black violent felons running around with guns causing societal mayhem. What about the massive percentage of black on black murders, over 90%. The problem isn’t whites killing black, it’s blacks murdering blacks. How is this whites’ fault?
You can’t really put any stock in what Jesse says. Remember in ‘08 when he said he was going to cut B.O.’s nuts off? Well... Did he?
I must be missing it—where did Jackson say that gun control creates jobs?
Every time I hear some Ivy League psychologist claim conservatives are naturally dumber than liberals, I think of Jesse Jackson.
For people who claim to be our moral and intellectual superiors, Marxists sure don’t seem to be able to come up with new lies very often.
Importantly, for a second, did Jackson imply that on the 16th there was going to be a *nationwide* march on gun stores?
While that won’t be a problem in most cases, those gun stores that are near where a concentration of individuals who are prone to riot exists, might consider some extra precautions.
That is, what if there is a scheme underfoot to organize a bunch of violent anarchists to cause a disruption, followed by the raiding and looting of gun stores?
If not that, then I am sure there are several scenarios that should be considered. I just wonder if this is the typical Jackson bloviation, or if maybe he just let the cat out of the bag?
Jesse’s rhymin’ is failin’, the man needs to be bailin’!;)
Mr. Jackson lost his credibility, upon the front cover of Life Magazine, when it front cover published, a photograph of him, with a lit Molotov Cocktail in hand, leading a riotous group, back in the ‘60’s.
Why he survives, only Providence knows.
Anyone that bespeaks the words ‘gun control’, speaks the words, ‘you-don’t-have-the-right-to-defend-yourself’. It is not ‘ownership’, but denying you the right to protect yourself. Protect yourself from whom? Jackson and his followers, for a start!
Jackson uses ‘gun control’, instead of the more racist, and out-of-touch, ‘white people’. Yet, all one has to do is read the accounts of crime in the newspaper! (I live in ‘y’awl’s-ville’.) There are dozens of Trayvons (no copyright symbol here), and a few Bubba Pee-Wees, too, to be accurate. The Bubbas do the meth’ing, and the domestic abusing, while the Trayvons are the house breakers, muggers, and shooters. Which of the two are the more dangerous to the average John/Jane Q. Public? Which are the ones that might receive ‘more than a simple request to leave the house’? Which ones are bound to receive the “William Shatner lawyer” treatment?
And good ol’ Mr. Jackson does not want you to be able to defend yourself??
It’s time for Mr. Jackson to take his ‘reverendly’ self to Cuba, and stay there!

Any idea what year that was...looking through all the covers I did not find it at http://www.2neatmagazines.com/life/1964cover.html
