If Republicans can’t win a Senate seat in N. Dakota no matter who the candidate is short of a felon, then this nation is in serious trouble.

Further, to hear Heidi, she sounds like a conservative Republican somewhere to the right of Goldwater.

Problem is.. once they get elected all that faux-conservative goes by the wayside and their guiding philosophy becomes "Democrat Party F3 (First..Foremost..Forever)!!"

Referencing my post yesterday, (I don't know if you saw it, Neocaveman) should I book the church?

I am still extremely reticent to utter the word "tossup" but I guess I have to move it to lean R from safe. I am being arrogant? I mean, Heidi?

I flat out cannot see her with 50%, even it ends up 52-48 instead of 57-43 like I thought it would. Guess we'll have to waste a lot of money showing ND that she is Harry Reid in a skirt.

My post yesterday if you haven’t seen it was

“If Heitkamp is the next Senator then Kate Upton will be my wife and Mila Kunis my mistress.”.

At the risk of bragging, I was warning that Elizabeth Dole was in trouble in 2008 when everyone else assumed she was a shoo-in. We all know how that turned out.

For what it’s worth, the same poll that showed Berg down 1% in the ND Senate race showed Romney and both potential GOP House candidates leading by large margins in their respective races, so we can’t just blame Berg’s deficit on a bad sample: http://www.kfyrtv.com/News_Stories.asp?news=57558

It’s clear that voters have a problem with Rick Berg, or perhaps Heidi Heitkamp is making a very good impression on them. Obviously, the state Republican Party should have backed someone else.

It’s clear that voters have a problem with Rick Berg...

Its not that voters have a reason to be against him, its that there is no reason to be for him.

The best thing I can say it is a good time for a wake up call. The RNC needs to take the phone call and spend some money on what they had thought was a easy winner.

He must be doing something wrong, she’s not really that appealing is she?

Maybe he needs to get “down home” or something and hit the coffee shops.

That and spend big money to tie her to her lover, Obama.
