Skip to comments.(VANITY) What if we ALL use the "FREE" contraception being offered? And tossing them?

Alright, most FReepers know me as a Catholic - well, at least those who have noticed me over the decade I have been posting here. And most folks know that the Church believes and teaches that artificial contraception is a sin. So what kind of odd heretic would suggest we all go in and get our ladies prescriptions for this new, mandated "FREE" benefit that is driving my healthcare premiums up 17% this year?
Well, I read Alinsky's "rules" and this is one of them. Use their "rules" against them! If everyone gets this garbage and throws it away (maybe flushing it into the sewer system), the system will break down. If we get as close to 100% demand for this poison into the system, they will run out! Game the system folks, turn the wheel the way they want, but faster than they can accept. Cause shortages of this horrific, nasty carcinogen that kills babies, wife's and mothers.
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
Good point. I do this as well for the private enterprises, I remember cigarettes were giving away free samples, and I sent a courtesy package to all of the pastors in my town.
Good stratagy to not only break Obamacare, but force the government to ban all birth control pills.
I wouldn’t put it in the sewer system. There are already so many hormones in our drinking water that there’s an epidemic of metrosexualism.
Thank you, ‘was hoping that point would be made.
Mail them to the White House - for the Obama daughters to use, so that they are not ever Punished With A Baby!
Mail them to the white house? Or to certain congresscritters?
If they get used as “intended”, they end up in the sewers anyway. But “polluting” the sewers with this “free benefit” seems appropriate somehow. No?
I like the concept. Similar to what I used to do many years ago about junk mail. I used to send back every pre-paid return envelope they sent me with DO NOT WANT written across it in black magic marker. Eventually, much less junk mail was coming to my address!
That would be “social justice”! Hormone birth control pills work great to promote plant growth in certain plants. I would say store them up with the prepper supplies next to your emergency seed banks.
That way they you as a prepper benefit and you get to prepare more for the collapse.
I like it! Spread the idea far and wide. Post this to prepper blogs please.
Grind them up and feed them to your liberal neighbors to keep them from reproducing.
Donate them to planned parenthood and take a charitable deduction.
Let’s see. First we purchase the contraceptives through our increased premiums. Then we demand them back free of additional charge since they’re now a benefit. Finally, we dump this “horrific, nasty carcinogen” into our sewer (and inevitably our water) system and poison ourselves. And all on the theory that they’ll run out rather than just increase production and raise premiums even higher? Sounds like advice to Screwtape.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16, KJV).
That just profits the contraceptive manufacturer as the government will pay for these freebies.
Now that idea makes sense!
Hey, Sam-—start doing it again, only, write on the outside of the postage paid envelopes something horrible (but TRUE) about our HOMOPOTUS and flood the mail with them right before the election!
You’d only be helping educate those that don’t keep up with the news. (I have 8 month’s worth saved up for just such an occasion.)
“Harmless as doves”? Wouldn’t that preclude poisoning the water?
“The solution to pollution is dilution”
The program will be seen as a huge success, funding will be increased, new programs will be created, the costs of producing contraceptives will be lowered via subsidization, and society will view contraception as more mainstream than it truly is. And all of these things will be used to teach our children that single payer “free” contraception is a good thing.
The bank you are trying to break is the American Taxpayer, whose oney is paying for it. Your idea works against PRIVATE entities, but I can’t see it working her - the government would use it as an example of how badly the contraceptives are needed and then to expand the program...
This stuff may be free to the Obamacare policy holder, but it is not free to the taxpayer. You will be effectively causing a government subsidy to the makers of contraception.
You certainly want to keep them out of the sewer system on sanitary grounds.
Come to think of it there is a form of political protest that is not going to ge a significant benefit to the contraceptive industry, but will have an impact on congress.
Buy a condom and mail it to a representative who voted for Obamacare.
Enclose a card: “Perhaps there will be less idiots like you in the future, Congressman/woman”.
Reminds me of how people used to mail them tea bags.
