The World Trade Organization is moving closer to eliminating country-of-origin labels and replacing them with Made in the World initiative labels because they say we need to reduce public opposition to free trade and re-engineer global governance.
An America that prides itself on independence and celebrates that independence every year on July 4 should want absolutely no part in allowing the advancement of global governance that aims to eliminate the one thing that allows American consumers to know from where the products they buy originate: The Made in USA label
The WTO wants to replace country-of-origin labels with a World Input-Output Database an initiative that is being funded by the European Unions Seventh Framework program. Americans should be concerned and seriously question the involvement of the European Union in watering down or wiping out the Made in USA label.

Happyness is a New World Order. /sarcasm
Mmmm. Why do I get the feeling global corporations are behind this like GM so that we can keep shoveling taxpayer money at them without the taxpayers actually knowing about it?
This idea ranks up there with “Made from Uranus”.
There will be companies that WILL want to label their products with origin information. I for one will attempt to support ONLY those outfits labeling sources.
Will the New World Order OUTLAW ALL labeling?
Unless we’re looking at a meteorite, that label appears to be in the “blatently obvious to the less than casual observer” category.
And is thusly placed in the “stupid as the UN and Obama” category.
Then we’ll have to take Chinese - or anyone’s - crap whether we want it or not.
Made in the World? What’s the point of having the labels then? Save the cost and get rid of them altogether. Stupid. Maybe they should have “Made with child labor” and “Made with adult labor”. Sounds like someone has nothing better to do and no ideas.
I detect a bit of panic in this. As if we are on the cusp of a great global blowback against free trade.
I like the idea of going directly to the factory that made crap and telling them about it.
Where else coul d these things have been made. It is classic double speak. Are they envisioning a time when things will be made on the moon?
Yeah, because all those cheap shoddily made goods from Mars were causing consumers so many problems...
Don’t even get me started on all the sweatshop slavery issues that Sedna has when making iPads....
We outsource so much damned manufacturing that anything “supposedly made” in the USA might as well be labeled as being “made in the world” because it pretty much means jack and squat these days...
I amy being super cynical...
That would distinguish them from those hard to find items labelled:
"Not Made In The World"
"Made On Other Worlds"
“Made in the World”?
Why not just “Made”? Since, no doubt, if it was “made”, it was made somewhere in the world, so the “world” part would be redundant. Now, when they start making things in other planets or on the moon, we can then say that is was of “interplanetary origin”, or just “made in space”. Only when they start making things “from outside the world”, might there be a need to label things as “Made on Earth”.
Why not, Made In An Alternate Universe
Sears has done this with craftsman tools. US made ones are stamped USA..
China ones are not stamped with country of origin.
Go figure huh?
I have a Spyderco pocket knife that has printed “Golden Colorado, USA, Earth”.
Also I have worked with a circuit board manufacturer that has printed on their boards “Made on the third planet from the sun”
In both of these cases I thought it was cute, but this initiative is designed to get the consumer to buy anonymous crap from “somewhere”. No thanks.
Just as an aside, I saw the move Patton over the weekend and noticed on his jeep was WTF. What did that mean in WWII?
Very nice, we are now true citizens of the World. Hold your hands friends, we are living in Utopia of Utopia.
When your child will be born in United States, or China, or Russia etc.. They are not available to be citizens of their country; no they are now full property of the World.
Train is not moving in full speed, this is rocket with boosters hitting full speed, someone is nervous, time is running out - wonder who?
WTF _ What in the flue.
WTF _ While traveling fast.
WTF _ Wild Tank fracking.
I heard from someone else.
Western Task Force.
Made in the World
No kidding, where else?
How about “Made By A Right To Work United States Citizen”
Joining the WTO was one of the worst decisions this country has ever made. It will take generations to get back the manufacturing base that was stolen from us.
Not really sure, but I checked an acronym lookup list (there were over 90 ‘WTF’s!). There were three or four that could fit, but the most likely I found was “Walk To Freedom (US Army)”.
The Democrat party does not want the US to get back the manufacturing base. The Democrats are globalists, who believe that the manufacturing jobs should go to developing nations to raise their economies up, while at the same time, the US shifts to exporting of natural resources and food stuffs, a complete reversal of the traditional economic roles.
It’s called the Agenda 21. That’s the reason that we see the Obama administration pushing so hard to export coal and grain to Asia through the Pacific Northwest.
Because “Made In China” is redundant?
‘Sure this isn’t the “World Trade Federation”?
If you remove the label, will you have to go before the international court?
Didn’t a city in Japan change it’s name to America and put “Made in America” on products once?
“Global governance” is code for rounding up and exterminating excess human beings who don’t belong to the global-governance governance club.
I only buy things labeled-—MADE ON MARS.
I really like the electronics I have that were imported from the moon. They are cheap becasue they are made by moon children working for 1 quark a day, Earth workers can’t compete with that rate.
I believe that was Usa, Japan. But they didn’t change the name, just capitalized on the marketing. MADE IN USA, Japan.
If this is what they want then surely they are preparing labels to replace all of the crap that is "Made in China".
Or is it just the USA they want to p!$$ off?
After a little research, I find you are correct. When I
posted I was using my phone and I find it very hard to do
anything but use one site at a time.
The scary thing is that we will have Free Traders spin this as “positive”, while every indicator available shows that Free Trade and Globalization/Regionalization is an abject failure
In fact, even the WTO admits this is a failure with this campaign...they know that “Made in the USA” is a whole lot better than “made in (Communist China, India, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan)”
The nations that quickly accept and prepare for the post-Globalist world are going to be the ones who will survive the current economic downturn
