Have you been paying attention to what the liberals inside the GOP have been doing to the party?

Compromise and accommodate are code words for 'let the democRats run the show.' And they have been for(more or less) the last hundred years.

And it is your brilliant idea that those in the GOP that are closely aligned with the democRats should be ones making all the philosophically/ideologically decisions for the party?

All you care about is that your team wins, not whether a particular philosophy/ideology reigns supreme?

And the decline of the western world continues.

“His first year could have been a year of enormous accomplishment had he focused on things where there was more common ground,” Bush said, arguing that he believed Obama made the “purely political calculation” to run a more partisan administration. ?

WHAT is this guy SMOKING???????????????????????

“Ronald Reagan would have, based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground

Unlike your Dad or what passes for a Republican today, Reagan found his accommodation from a position of strength not one of weakness and lack of spine..............

Hey Jebbie?

STFU, you pathetic sack o' RINO-sh*t, go look up Judge George W. Greer and see if he still has your balls floating in formaldehyde on his trophy shelf, Ronald Reagan would NEVER have let a pipsqueak, legally blind backwater probate judge like Greer get away with murdering Terri Schiavo via judicial fiat. The Gipper would have personally led the Florida National Guard and the FDLE to rescue Terri where she was being denied food and water, and condemned to death, because he had GUTS, something you didn't have, and never WILL have!

And to those few remaining BushBots who are quick to say "what about freedom of speech?", this here is FREEDOM OF SPEECH too, so STAY OUT DA BUSHES!

There is a great divide in our country and it's dividing conservative groups. Fear of socialism sweeping our states and federal government has us drawing lines in the sand on each other. We need to unite or we will be swallowed individually by what we seek to defeat. We can fight our own little battles once the war is won.

In the eyes of certain FReepers, Reagan was a RINO - he cut and ran from Lebanon, gave amnesty to illegals, and raised taxes (even though he CUT taxes). In their eyes, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In the eyes of certain FReepers, Jesus Christ was a RINO - He befriended and forgave tax collectors, advised people to pay their taxes to the government, and consorted with known prostitutes. In their eyes, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Which begs the question, why have we ended up with Bishop Willard from Planet Kolob as the GOPe nominee? Because in the case of every conservative candidate, the cry went out: YOUR GUY’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

The FReeper’s Definition of Conservative: “Whatever it is, it sure as hell ain’t YOU!!!”

Hey Jebbie, What happened to that accomodation of your dad to agree to TAX INCREASES in exchange for SPENDING CUTS?

What happened to Boehner's agreement to increase the DEBT LIMIT in exchange for SPENDING CUTS over ten years?

Guess what Jebbie, THEY DIDN'T HAPPEN! WHY? Because LIBERALS, be they Republicraps or Democraps, believe that ACCOMODATION means adopting LIBERAL beliefs!

How is your good buddy, DINGY HARRY REID, doing with the BUDGET? Oh, that's right, we haven't had a BUDGET in over three years! Without a Budget, there are no cuts, ONLY THE BASELINE SPENDING INCREASES THAT ARE MANDATED BY LAW!

The 21 Democrap Senators due for reelection this November should be the PRIMARY focus, but of course, they are not. Such as effort would upset too many of the LIBERAL REPUBLICRAPS!

While you're right that some people on the extreme left are purists, the vast majority are not. So Jeb Bush isn't held in high regard around here? Well, he reaps what he sows, and he sows big government accomodation with a Democrat Party that is far more radical and openly leftist than ever before.

No doubt Jeb campaigns as a conservative, just like all the Bushes, but he's no 80% friend. Is there any doubt that all the Bushes hold you and I and our core beliefs in complete derision? You just have to know these Bushes, Romneys, McCains, etc., have no intention of ever ending abortion, taking control of the borders, expelling illegal immigrants to any great degree, or slashing any significant programs.

As I wrote before, at what point are ANY of these Republicans, supposedly the party of small government, going to do anything to actually reduce government???? These jerks can't even cut off funding to NPR. Now maybe Jeb Bush isn't as bad as the totalitarian statists currently running the Democrat Party, but he himself admits he's no ally of mine.

It's not like I have high expectations here. I really don't. All I ask is that the moderate/centrists toss a bone my way once in awhile instead of doing everything they can to kiss up during elections and then flip me the bird once they're in office!

Can this help?

. . . . . Although Soros doesn’t (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.

Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by The Baltimore Chronicle’s Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by “a veritable who’s who of former Republican leaders,” from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head [and ex-President] George Bush, Sr.

yadda, yadda, yadda.

I agree with you. It's the difference of a head-on crash at 80MPH, versus a head-on crash at 55MPH.

And, what a choice we have this cycle, don't we?

On one hand, we have Bishop Willard from Planet Kolob.

On the other, the illegitimate, bisexual, Marxist Kenyan Muslim Usurper.

Both appoint activist judges, both support the Lavendar Mafia, both grab guns, both support the murder of babies, both want socialized medicine.

Yeah, tell it to the Kurds, who got sold out by Poppy RINO, countless innocent lives were lost, including Iraqi citizens who were tortured, raped, and murdered by Saddam and his two depraved offspring Uday and Qusay, all because GHWB left the job undone in the first Gulf War, and left Saddam in place for over a decade until GWB decided to take out one leg of that three-legged 'Axis of Evil'.

Screw you GHWB, and that goes for your 'New World Order' too.

Hey Jebby, let me educate you. Reagan almost didn’t become the nominee.....in 1980. Remember “he’s too old” “he’s too extreme?” Yes, all that was said by the Country Club GOP establishment and their handpicked candidate in 1980 who was...let me guess....last name was BUSH. Oh, and remember this one....”voodoo economics?” Who said that?

This is pure nonsense.

The truth is, The US has been steadily moving Leftward since FDR. RR would be considered far more conservative today.

GHWB was never a conservative. He was a card carrying, fully entitled member of the ruling class, neither liberal nor conservative.

Absolutely Sarge, America was founded with the specific intent to ELIMINATE and AVOID royal (and not so royal) dynasties, our ancestors shed their blood to be free of monarchies, why is this concept so difficult for anyone to understand?

Btw, my best to you and yours Sarge, hope your week is great.

Reagan said that he would NEVER grant Amnesty again... just like the 3 dollars in cuts for every new dollar of spending the dims promised him... amnesty was a lie. Reagan had no problem with calling liars out... he also understood that he could not trust the dims. The bush clan are stealth dims... even Laura who supports the murder of the most innocent. I find it really offensive when moderate Republicans accuse people like me of being purists. I’m not the one running for office on a small government platform. They want our votes, but it’s clear to me they are laughing behind our backs.

Why am I the purist for asking them to deliver some small part of what they promise? Have the Bush fans completely forgotten it was W who crammed the prescription drug benefit through against the wishes of many in his own party? Have we forgotten all the Bushes can’t wait to cram amnesty down our throats the same way, even as they lie to our faces by saying waiving penalties is not an amnesty? Why am I a purist for daring to state maybe America doesn’t need to be the world’s police? Yet, the Bushes and McCains can’t apparently avoid intervening in other people’s affairs everywhere.

All W did was expand government and he started with Republican control of Congress! Please show me where I’m wrong. I ask again. How did the party of small government deliver smaller government? They had their opportunity and the truth came out. They lied to us. People like Boehner have no intention of EVER making significant cuts.

Again. The Republicans finally held Congress and the Presidency under W, and what did they do? They squandered decades of effort by conservatives to reverse the expansion of government. Result: President Obama.

No. I say the Bushes are out of touch patricians who deserve no loyalty whatsoever from conservatives. They are part of the problem, not a solution to this nation’s ills.

Jeb misunderstands conservatives, I think.

I want a political leader who personally and professionally espouses conservative views - that believes them to his or her core. Politics (theoretically) is an art of compromise, cajoling unlike-minded people into doing something close to right. Realistically, the only way a conservative could get 95% of what he wanted was to rule as a dictator, much like our present predicament (from the other side).

Just my $.02, naturally.

Here are JB's actual comments: “Ronald Reagan would have, based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground, as would my dad — they would have a hard time if you define the Republican party — and I don’t — as having an orthodoxy that doesn’t allow for disagreement, doesn’t allow for finding some common ground,” Bush said, adding that he views the hyper-partisan moment as “temporary.”

Commentary from another site: BuzzFeed staff did not provide the comment where Bush said, as they paraphrased, “that both Ronald Reagan and his father George H. W. Bush would have had a difficult time getting nominated by today’s ultra-conservative Republican Party.” Jeb never called his party “ultra-conservative” (at least not in any text they provided).

But, golly gee whiz, the headline fits the narrative as does the line quoted above. Guess they missed that little word, “if.” Jeb never said the Republican Party had an orthodoxy, merely offered a hypothetical view of the party — which he singled by that word.

In the very article, the BuzzFeed staff did report that, “Bush also had praise for Rep. Paul Ryan for proposing a budget and disdain for Democrats for refusing to engage it.” Doesn’t seem that a man who praises a man like Ryan, widely admired in Republican circles, would also call the party “ultra-conservative.”

Bush, they do note, “also blamed President Obama for much of the conflict.” Wonder what that notion didn’t get more prominence. In this article, Fred Barnes details just how the Democrat “has shown little or no interest in taking GOP proposals, alternatives, or tweaks seriously, or even considering them at all.”

Doesn't it make you feel great that you were had (once again) by ABC news? Just keep stamping "sucker" on your own foreheads.....

Hello friend.

Don’t go, stay, do not allow yourself be interjected into something, that sometimes is just waste of time.
From your writings, I can feel you are very smart person with intellectual understandings of things that are unfolding in front of you, real audience is listening.

Nothing is easy in this life, for life is not easy. There will be always disagreements, either we like it or not, for it makes us humans, see dear friend…

I was raised on farm, hardworking grandmother and grandfather, very strict and very smart, sometimes I thought being young I knew more, then I learned as I grew up, what a fool I was. They thought me this which I do follow.. If we can’t get along on this planet as we know each other, and will not get along with others we don’t know, how will we get along in afterlife?

I have written many times, enemies are awaiting and watching what their opositions is writing and calculated theirs moves. This is time to unite, emotions are for later, debates and discussion as well, country first and I know you love your country and will make sure you will do right fight for it.

Disagreements, we all do have, unity is what is need it now, Presidents come and go, let true conservatives of your country take full control of Three Chambers of your Government, and start fixing your house friends, then in unity you will be able to fight even harder and stronger.

Disarming this enemy is not easy task, I don’t know fully who is Mister Jeb Bush, or policies of Previous President, I know watching horrific attacks on United States and as President he took a charge, rest of internal policies, I will yield the floor, you know better then I do. That is your house.

Ronald Reagan has passed away, again can’t say too much of his internal policies, one thing I can say, he knew how to drive Moscow crazy and made it very clear.

This is not 1980 or 1989 this is 2012, we are living in times when majority of people have lost concepts of reality and utopia, and divisions do arise because of that. Not only, in reality in history, and I am historian, is that there were always and will always be two groups: One for right other for evil…and evil has many different names. Right is always Right, as Love is Love and hate is hate.

Don’t be discourage, stay friend. Not everything is lost; much to gain is still at hard work.

Merci.
