Zimmerman 'does not properly respect the law,' judge says in order revoking bond
Orlando Sentinal ^ | June 12, 2012 | Jeff Weiner

The judge who revoked George Zimmerman's bond did so after he determined that it was "apparent" that Zimmerman's wife had lied under oath, and clear that Zimmerman "does not properly respect the law."

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman's bond on June 1, but his written order was filed Monday. In it, Lester lays out his rationale.

he now has given the Prosecution the best weapon they could possibly have hoped for, “reasonable doubt”.

All that political hijinks over the bail is inadmissible in a criminal case about Trayvon's little accident. It's ridiculous to have asked for bond at all, on a defendant who kept in touch with the prosecutrix's office and turned himself in voluntarily when she charged him based on her fantasies.

The guy deserves a medal, not a bunch of craven, dishonest bureaucrats competing to see who can abuse the victim more.

and you testify under oath that you are penniless while knowing you have over $100,000 available in an on-line account - you are, in fact, demonstrating that you have do not respect the law.

Why is "don't know what I'm allowed to do with those funds" not sufficient?

Just think if he had followed directions to not go after the kid that nite...he wouldn’t be in jail, he wouldn’t have $100K and a kid would still be alive.

That is a good excuse as any, if you got to have one.

My take is that the judge was not supposed to grant Zimmerman bond in the first place. And he caught hell behind the scenes for doing so. And he responded by saying give me an excuse to revolk his bond. So they came up with this bullshit. It should warm the cockels of the lynch Zimmerman mob. Hopefully something bad will happen to them in the future.

Zimmerman, by his own actions - demonstrated that his sworn testamony is worthless. The jury now knows that anything he says “under oath” is not to be trusted.

The only thing they have to work with now, is the evidence (which supports Zimmerman’s story), the police report (which supports Zimmeman’s story) and the evidence collected at the crime scene (which supports his story).

Instead of having 100% of the trust - he has sacrificed a huge amount of that trust. This was stupid of him. Perhaps you would do something like this; but I can assure you that if this was MY life on the line - I would have been 100% truthful. I fail to understand what possible motive he could have had to pull this stunt.

If the bail was set higher, I’d contest it on my first offense, my standing in the neighborhood and charge “Unreasonable Bail”.

As is, he gave the Prosecution ammunition it didn’t have before. In fact, prior to this stunt; the Prosecution had no ammo whatsoever.

Zimmerman had not yet transferred any funds from PayPal to his bank account at the time he and his wife filed their income statement. Therefore they did NOT lie under oath about it. Lester is a douche. What about Angela Corey, who withheld material facts from her indictment, and “prayed” with Martin’s ambulance chasing lawyers. No contempt citation for her? Mark Levin is blasting Lester for this.

The democrat party has decided to lynch the unfortunate (and innocent) Mr. Zimmerman.

The reason is that the democrats for some reason seem to think it will help win the election. Perhaps the the party thinks it is a distraction for the black voter base, so that they can overlook their economic annihilation by the Obama Regime.

Zimmerman did not know what to do with the money in the Paypal account. It was given for his defense, not for his bail. If he used it improperly, he would have committed a crime.

Besides, if the bail is set, and the bond is paid, what the heck is the difference to the judge?

Is the judge saying, if I knew you had more money, I would have set the bail higher? That is totally BS.

The judge and prosecutor are corrupt, and need to be changed. I have never seen such a travesty of justice since OJ.

By now you must be familiar with the actual transcript of the 911 call. So I conclude you're just a troll with green nose-hairs.

They, who support thugs and criminals like Trayvon, require ardent Stalinists and other assorted psychopaths in their legal support network. It's the only way such madness can get pushed through.

Zimmerman is really screwed if his case is getting oversight from these dangerous @ssholes.

There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. - Ayn Rand

One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers -- and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system. - Ayn Rand

I have not read the order yet, I would think the primary issue is the passport. The money was explained after the fact by the lawyer so that could be excused. the intentional misrepresenting ITSELF is an issue.

If the wife lied or intentionally mislead, then there is no free pass to keep the bond.

If the judge treats this defendant like other defendants, he will let him stew for a few days and let him out at the next bond hearing. (perhaps at a higher bond)

The judge will, again if the same as other defendants, will not let STATE special prosecutor corey play her own games. The judge should be doing to her what the duke judge did to nifong.

George has committed the most serious crime a person can commit.

He has failed to genuflect to his ruling elite.

There need be no respect for the law, law and justice bear no relationship any more.

Lester administers Just Us.

>>If his wife lied under oath, shouldn’t SHE be the one in jail?<<

That's a big IF. Judge Lester refused to allow enough time for O’Mara to have Zimmerman at the bond revocation hearing or to prepare to respond to the prosecutor's charges, pretty clearly a violation of GZ’s rights to confront his accusers and his due process rights. The hearing was supposed to be about media access to the discovery materials, not a bond hearing. I think it was unconscionable for the judge to entertain the motion at that hearing, especially after the prosecution deceptively edited Shellie Zimmerman's testimony as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpzBX9Q56Ws What else might they have "edited" to make it look like the Zimmermans had evil intent?
