Note to Florida unions: You're next

Word on South Florida’s political streets is that the local public employee unions are “mystified” about the outcome of the Scott Walker victory over the unions in the Wisconsin recall election. The story is that the local AFL-CIO is so out of touch, it doesn’t really comprehend the significance of what happened, while the Service Employees International Union, a bit more sophisticated, recognized the defeat for what it was: a major loss for its agenda.

The union response for the loss is that it was outspent seven-to-one by conservative groups. But data coming from the Center for Public Integrity, a liberal group that receives money from leftist moneyman George Soros, contradicts that assessment. The center’s take is that the spending gap was two-to-one. But even this figure only accounts for legally required amounts that must be publicly reported. And it does not include the money provided to tens of thousands of union volunteers and leftists who were bused to the political battlegrounds and paid to agitate in exchange for having their transportation, hotel and food expenses covered by leftist money.

There are lessons from the Scott Walker feud that South Florida unions, and other progressive groups, should understand...

Obama thinks that "fair share" doesn't apply to unions, but the taxpaying voters say otherwise.

Isn’t it great to be able to predict the lies these traitors will resort to? We knew very well that there was no outspending by the GOP when everything is considered and that it is doubtful that the GOP was outspent in ANY area of this fight. It is also great to see just how much this Quixotic Crusade of Evil blew up in its face. The Left did not just shoot its self in the foot but blew off the whole damned leg.

I sure hope so. The SEIU thugs in Florida are foul and corrupt. Some of them are in hospitals and are screaming bloody murder when the hospitals have to lay off some of their lazy butts.

Others are janitors at schools...the last hard work they did was to march for pay raises.

Florida news ping!

I welcome Gov. Scott to tackle this union problem. I live in Pasco County and they are contemplating local property tax increases over cutting.

Gotta stop them in their tracks.

Public employee unions are A & B negotiating how much they’re going to steal from C.

Few weeks ago the local news rag printed the names and amounts of worthless beauracrats and politicians in my little area making in excess of $100,000 a year.
If every one of them lost their jobs and were not replaced I believe NO ONE WoULD NOTICE.

How many FL illegal aliens are union members?

Get rid of the unions, get rid of illegals at the same time?

I visited my small library main branch last week and asked how many people were on-staff at that very moment.

I was told 70 and was provided with the numbers in each department.

I believe Florida republicans made an effort in 2010 or 2011 to pass a bill that eliminated government collection of union dues.

Supposedly the house and senate bills were killed by powerful republicans in the legislature who had ties to the labor unions.

What's wrong with being a janitor? I remember the janitors at my school working hard. It's honest and useful work, and those who do that work have nothing to be ashamed of even if we might believe they are overpaid.

Obama doesn’t think all have a fair share. Obama believes thet the fair share for more than half of Americans is $0

The poor should pay tax just like the wealthy.
