The Florida State Attorney's office has announced the wife of George Zimmerman - the defendant in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin - has been arrested on suspicion of perjury.
Her husband stands accused of second-degree murder after shooting the unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin dead, in what he says was self-defence, after claiming he had been attacked.
No, what’s next is “take the plea deal or we’ll release your wife into the general prison population.”
Waiving “right to speedy trial” was a _bad_ move.

Their big mistake, IMHO, that they didn’t tell their own lawyer about the monies. He could have advised them how to handle the question from the judge.

I watched this entire testimony live.
Shellie specifically stated
she was in a undisclosed location.
she did know of the online fundraising account.
she not know the balance of the account while sitting on the stand.
she could contact George’s brother (or brother in law) who had direct access to the account.
she had not had contact with George’s brother in almost a week.
she could give the phone number to the judge, prosecutor and her lawyers, immediately.
How could she have perjured herself? I do not think the prosecutor ever asked a leading question such as “does the account have more than 10 grand in it?” or anything of the sort with a specific dollar amount.
We should all be very afraid.
How can anyone not see what the state is attempting here? How many people will now hesitate to defend themselves in similar circumstances after what they see what happens to those who dare to?
Do you know that they did not tell their lawyer? I suspect that they did tell him and he was aware. I also think the fact that the original representing attorneys withdrew because of the web site and the donations was known to O’Mara from the outset. O’Mara has screwed up twice IMO first with the passports and now with this. He should have prepped and or represented his clients better.
No, they just want to stop her one-woman crime spree, and prevent her from going to other bail hearings and perjuring herself there. I wonder what she’ll say at her bail hearing.

Paypal is NOT a bank account. It takes 3 days to transfer the money, and is limited to $500 a month unless verification is made, which takes more time than Zimmerman had at the time of his bond hearing. Most credit card merchants make you wait between 2 weeks and 30 days to receive payments (or donations). PayPal is a holding area. The Zimmermans were stunned by the amounts that came in and didn't know what to do with it. the day after the bond hearing they notified their attorney, who notified the court and Reichminister Corey. Every penny was disclosed. There is absolutely no reason for the judge to freak out. If he wanted to, he could have added $25,000 or $50,000 to the bond amount, but for what reason? Either way this is a disgusting miscarriage of justice.
Corey is going to end up like that other Corey- flat like a pancake- when the defense counsel makes her look dumber than Marcia Clarke.

Zimmerman isn’t the ONLY one that’s going to have to go into hiding before this is all over.

That's all fine and swell. But according to Zimmerman's own attorney $5000 of the PayPal money was used in making bond. It's impossible to successfully argue Zimmerman didn't know he had the money or that it was unavailable to him when he used part of it.
Show us the exact quotes that substantiate what you have stated. If not, then you should retract what you have stated.

This whole case is beginning to stink more and more of political level harassment.
Arraignment in six weeks and a $1,000 dollar bond? as my son would say: “It’s a nothingburger Dad.”
In other words if there was really something there then the bail would have been higher.
Also something to think about with her being arrested, her HOME ADDRESS where she has been hiding from the public is now out in the open and the same nutcases that want to harm or kill her husband now know where to get her at.

I’m not going to try to defend dmz, but I do have to question the fact that the affidavit states that she transferred over $74,000.00 from George’s account to hers in the previous days leading up to the bond hearing. I’m wondering if this was personal money of theirs. That certainly wouldn’t be the paypal money, would it? I wouldn’t think they could get it that fast. Either way, her personally dealing with this money days before her testifying kind of doesn’t look good on her part. I hope they are able to survive this though.
Please give a link to the transcript quoting Mrs. Zimmerman saying they were penniless. That's right, you can't, because you made that up. IOWs it's a lie.
It’s possible Zimmerman told O’Mara, but O’Mara went on CNN before the prosecutor’s charges claiming all he was told Zimmerman had was a couple thousand dollars.

Wouldn’t be the first time this lawyer screwed up if he had been told, but that’s a big mistake for a lawyer to make. The court WILL find out this stuff.
In the 4 days previous to the hearing Shellie transfered $47,000 to the account of George' sister and $74,000 to her own account. If you can move the move on your authority, you control it.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the law.
Ask Scooter Libby, he did absolutely nothing wrong, but was convicted anyway, and his friends in high places, were silent.

Based on this link, it would seem that the transfers are what the judge took issue with, not the Paypal donations.
