Did you people even read the story? They allegedly withheld information about a LOT of money that was raised from everyday Americans (probably some FReepers included in there). If you want the law to work for you, you have to follow it.

Some probably know more about Shellie's testimony than the author of the article; other, like you (see your tagline) might have only read the excerpt.

The state's case is weak and the charge is being applied selectively.

I'm sure the prosecutor is high-fiving it right now - but I wouldn't be too confident this will turn out well for the state, if I was in their shoes.

You mean the information that was reported over and over again about money donated to their defense fund?

Money that was reported in most news reports?

If the judge had been paying attention then he would have known about that money.

I’ve read a few stories about this perjury issue.

The judge released his decision about denying bail to George because he lied to the court. The judge said that George is dishonest. He claims Shelly knowingly made false statements in court about the status of their assets and George did not correct her even though he could have. He claimed Shelly and George talked in code about the money when George was first in jail, indicating they were hiding it from the court. He claimed there is a strong case against George’s self defense claim.

When you toss bloody meat to sharks they are going to feast.

No, Shellie Zimmerman told the court exactly how to find out how much money was in the account, and neither the prosecution, nor the judge were interested enough to contact the brother-in-law to find out. The money changed daily, and she didn't know the current total. She declined to give an estimate.

their attorney, Mark O’Mara, knew ALL about the account before the bond hearing. Why didn’t he counsel them on what to say and what not to say? I believe it’s more likely that they did NOT know what to say and did not have good counsel.

I say to hell with O’Mara. He’s a loser of an atty.

Are looking for an anti-white propagandist job with the Black Panthers or Reverend Al?

The paypal account was one that was publicly well known AND was a defense fund that the Zimmermans did not intend to have control over and in fact was turned over to his attorney O'Mara right after he was hired.

Anyone who doesn't realize that the judge and prosecutor have sold out to the threats of violence made by the Black mob is lobotomized.

You’re messin’ with the wrong folks on this thread! They know more about this case than George Zimmerman himself. You’re in the Big Leagues on this thread.

Posted a link for the transcript. Read it. She told the court where to get the information.

Is that the only story you have read on this issue? Are you aware that there is a very strong possibility that the money, donated for his legal defense, is not “his,” for the purposes of establishing whether or not he is indigent.

In other words, he did not lie when he gave the information, as he knew it at the time, about his finances. Furthermore, there is a strong likelihood that the judge overstepped his bounds inquiring about anything more than Zimmermans actual personal finances. The money raised in his defense fund is in all likelihood privileged and not discoverable.

The court knew all about the money. Read Shellie Zimmerman’s testimony:

link courtesy of jaded

She stated she did not know what was in the web site account, and that her brother in law could provide the information!

This is a pure unmitigated travesty.
