President Obama has recruited Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to play the part of Mitt Romney in mock debates ahead of the three presidential debates in October, the Obama campaign has confirmed to CBS News.
The Washington Post first reported the news. David Axelrod, Mr. Obama's chief strategist, told the Post that Kerry was an "obvious choice."

Of course he was. He and Romney are Massachusetts liberals. The only better choice would have been Ted Kennedy but he is dead.
What would truly be hilarious would be if Lurch was actually better in the debate rehearsal than 0bama, causing the Kenyan douchebag to lose his cool and have a meltdown, lol
It doesn’t work when you script both sides D’oh LOL , maybe they’re checking the ear pieces LOL
What substance, if any does Kerry actually bring to the table?
Did you know that John Kerry served in Vietnam?
you asked for it
Didn’t he cut himself shaving in Vietnam? That qualifies him to play Romney!!
Were Jim Backus or Richie Rich not available?
Yeah, this is too much:
Obama: Let me be clear, I am for the middle class and not the rich, who aren’t paying their fair share.
Kerry (as Romney): I agree, um wait, *aside what’s the talking point again?* Oh, uh, I like rich people.
Obama: I also am for gay marriage, because I want people of all sexual perversions to be able to enjoy a religious ceremony.
Kerry (as Romney): I agree, um wait, *aside what’s the talking point again?* Oh, uh, I like heteros.
Obama: I also think that all illegal immigrants should be allowed to work, vote, and refuse to pay taxes in America.
Kerry (as Romney): I agree, um wait, *aside what’s the talking point again?* Oh, uh, I hate illegals.
Looks like a great debate prep.
I wonder if Jean Francois will bring up his heroic exploits in Vietnam.
given the delivery and cadence of those guys, plus Kerry’s slow reaction time, we’re looking at 18 hours of rehearsal here
That is possible. Given that Axelrod said: "There is no one that has more experience or understanding of the presidential debate process than John Kerry,"
It is entirely possible that Kerry will wipe the floor with the community organizer from Kenya.
...and some of the most boring dialogue in recorded history.
He’ll be just a bobble-head nodding yes yes yes you’re right to everything Obamamugabe says.
lol! Good one.
>>...and some of the most boring dialogue in recorded history.
they shoulda got mondale instead.
So if Kerry couldn't beat Bush how is he best prepared to debate the Kenyan?
I would suggest that Romney play Obama in the GOP debate prep, but I guess that’s out. Maybe Jon Huntsman.
If they pay less that $10M for the software to run Kerry’s teleprompter, he won’t stand a chance.....
