EXCLUSIVE: Secret Service agents partied like rock stars on Obamas' Vineyard Vacation

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, Mass. – Long before President Obama's security detail was scandalized in Colombia and new revelations emerged last week about the Secret Service, members of the elite team earned an "Animal House" reputation at the blueblood vacation mecca of Martha's Vineyard.

Local residents say wild parties, fights and late-night carousing involving Secret Service members have become commonplace in recent years at the Vineyard, a favorite getaway for the First Family and longtime destination for upper-crust members of the Northeastern political, media and business establishment.

“I expect parties during the summer. People come here to have fun -- they’re on vacation,” said a resident who lives in the East Chop section of Oak Bluffs, near the six-bedroom Victorian mansion whose owners dubbed it the Secret Service’s “party house,” after agents staying in a cluster of adjacent homes converged on it for late-night soirees. “But I didn’t think it’d be Secret Service people here protecting the president.”

Cops gone wild, knowing full well they won't get touched by any other cops.

If they end up with another complaining hooker I hear there’s this bridge on Martha’s Vineyard they can use to fix her up real good.

If only Hunter Thompson hadn’t blown his brains out there is finally an opening in government that fits the unique skill sets he had.

Yet ANOTHER prestigious American institution trashed by the Left and their useful idiots in the amoral, pubescent, foundationally disrespectful counterculture.

I think there is more to all of these “diss the Secret Service” stories that have come out. Is this some sort of “look they are NOT properly doing their jobs protecting...” The story just doesn’t sit right.

3:00 in the morning, a flat black Zodiac, shadows moving across the beach...

Well, a guy can dream, can’t he?

I recently heard Dennis Miller interview Clint Hill, who was one of JFK’s top Secret Service agents, and who has published a book about his experiences, including the assassination in Dallas.

If I recall correctly he was the agent who ran toward the car at the sound of the shooting and attempted to cover the Kennedys as the limo raced away.

Mr. Hill was quiet, modest and dignified, grateful for and nearly reverent about the position of trust he had held.

His words about the Kennedys and Johnsons were respectful, admiring and gracious, nothing but. He clearly took his position back then deeply seriously and conveyed the sense that he still did.

One of the things he mentioned that stuck with me came in response to a question from Miller about the clothes Mr. Hill was wearing that day. Miller allowed as how it was somewhat macabre, but he wondered if Hill’s bloodstained clothes had been preserved, by the Smithsonian, say, or by Hill himself.

Mr. Hill said that the idea of the historical value of the clothes had never come up. Everything happened so quickly, and was so grim, and Mr. Hill and the other agents just did the things they had to as they arose.

But he did say he had thrown away his jacket and his shirt, I believe, because they were so bloody, and he didn’t want them in his possession anymore anyway.

And he mentioned that this had caused him to have to run out and buy a new jacket—he traveled with one pair of pants, one jacket, but two shirts...thus he didn’t have to buy a new shirt, and he was able to clean his slacks passably well.

But he said that purchasing a new jacket had set him back a bit, budget-wise.

“That’s how things were in those days,” he said. “We didn’t have much. But we got by with what we had.”

How far we have fallen.

Thanks. That was a good reminder of the severity of the problems we have today. It wasn’t always this way and it doesn’t have to be this way.

IOW: We, the liberal locals, put up with all of this pre-the media break of the South American story...

...we as liberals kept our mouths shut all this time 'bout Obama's Not-so-Secret-being-'serviced'...

But...I guess now that it's out and we're being questioned by the MSM...

Yes, a fish rots from the head. The only thing wrong with any organization is its leadership.

To paraphrase, "There are no bad regiments, only bad regimental commanders."

The Obama dictatorship is a rotting fish.
